First time I see all Eurovision from beginning to end... and I'm a bit disappointed. Not because Spain was 16th (although it would have been cool a better position), but because of the winner... Russia?? I heard the song, and I didn't liked it... neither disliked. It got me with no real opinion, and it's a bad thing. But... neighbour countries vote among themselves, it's the reality

Well, yes, Spain's song was a great joke. For someone who never saw Eurovision, because doesn't like it, it's the best joke of all... He is not a singer, but an actor (Catalan actor, first seen in local TV, I've to say  :evil2: ), and he got the **** to present himself for the contest and win and go  :insane:

As I said... first time I see the contest, and first time I want Spain to win  :nosweat:

haha - this was typical Eurovision!

Many shit songs were played, and a diabolically average shite song won.

This is exactly how it should be.

Western European countries should forget it, coz we don't like each other enough to block vote like they do in Russia etc.  :fish:

Here's my top 3 of the night:
1)  Armenia - hot
2)  Ukraine - hot
3)  The 3 girls in purple dancing for Spain - very hot

...the songs?  oh, I don't remember those.

Well, well, well. Last night I saw Eurovision for the first time in my life, and it was one of "those" experiences...
I was pretty surprised to see how homogeneous the whole thing was. Most songs were of the "I-would-like-to-be-like-Brittney-but-I'm-not-crap-enough-to-succed" type. All in English, all pop-shite... not many folkoric touches or anything original from their respective countries (excepting Croatia I think).
My faves: Greece, Ukraine, and Amernia... man, they were hot. :wOOt:
I had good laugh with Latvia, Spain and... well, those playing the evil vs. angel shitty song.
The freaking scary moment of night was the first time I saw the swedish girl :afaid: .
Biggest disappointment: the absence of the Irish turkey in the final :bawl: . That would have been glorious.

... and the winner?... was there a winner anyway?

I missed the Eurovision because of Tarja's concert in Hamburg. Man that was the hardest choice in my life! :P

the song was really great just because of bunch of Croatians working on it..

Is NTSMS great?

Is anyone watching the contest this year with me? It looks like it's an old bad habit of mine. But it's also a great step for me, because this was the first time since more than a year, when I don't fall into my bed when Jácint finally falls asleep. Mommy stays awake to watch tv! :wOOt:

When exactly is the show, Lucy? In case I'm free, I'll watch it with you. Otherwise I rely on your report and comments.  :wink2:

Enjoy your Eurovision night greatly!

12 points and cheers!

The second semifinal is today, with the contestant from Hungary, at 9pm, and the final show is on Saturday. :) Last year Jácint was born on the day of the final! :D

Our contestant is very special this year, he's a M.A. in Philosophy, with not much experience in the world of music. I don't dislike the song. But I think he's loveable, maybe in a funny way.

From what have I seen, the first semifinal, I'd say that the contest is very Eurovisional again. :wink2: But I absolutely did like Netherland's song! I think it's exceptional. :)

Wow, you're really into that topic, aren't you? :)

I wasn't aware that Jácint was born on the day of a Eurovision final. Nice coincidence!

I probably won't be watching tonight due to my early shift tomorrow, but we'll see about Saturday.

Cheers!

Dear Lucy,

the Hungarian song isn't bad - the German one is.

We'll see who wins soon!

I have only seen some small part of the show... I have not even heard the Spanish song (not today, not before), but I imagine it deserves the place it "won" (the one before the last ). As for the Hungarian and German songs, I have not heard yet: tomorrow I'll look for them on the Internet. In fact, I was in front of the TV when the Hungarian one was on show, but I was busy with my god-daughter and I was not able to hear it too much  :roll-eyes:

From the few I've heard, I liked the Greek one: at least, it was funny  :insane:
