Amon Amarth: Twilight of the Thundergod.

Got myself the deluxe edition with 2 CDs and a DVD, made up as a little book. Very nicely done; the artwork reminds me strongly of "With Oden on our Side" and has nice runic passages. (Which is strange, considering that at least some band members can't read runes. But hey, we love them for the music, not for their reading skills!

) The music seems to be big fun.

Hey Markus, you comment on the rune passages reminds me... Has anyone noticed there is a spelling (?) mistake in the video of "Cry of the Blackbirds"?

The stage where they are playing has runes on it, if you notice there is a Tiwaz + Hagalaz instead of one Thurisaz rune.

And also... Thanks for making me want to buy that album already!

At last! - a couple of my all-time-favourite '80s German thrash releases have been remastered & reissued on CD:
Deathrow - Raging Steel
Deathrow - Satan's Gift

They are ordered and on their way to me!

Also managed to get hold of some other CDs that have eluded me for a while - ones that I've had on vinyl for years, but needed to get on CD:
ARTCH - Another Return To Church Hilll
Hexenhaus - A Tribute To Insanity
Voivod - The Outer Limits

And also been getting hold of some other quality German metal that somehow escaped me in the '80s, most of the back catalogues of:
Mekong Delta (progressive thrash)
Destruction (straight-up thrash)

Mekong Delta are particularly exciting, coz they remind me of the later Deathrow releases, with hints of Pink Floyd-meets-Coroner weirdness thrown in.

That's one heck of a beautiful guitar! I've always preferred the looks of Gibsons over those of Fenders.

Bought a zoom H4 at a pawn shop for 175.00 canadian
very good for recording concerts and such with stereo x/y internal mic.
2 jacks as well as xlr w phantom power.
You can plug right into it an record tracks and then mix.
