The bands you DON'T like

I just to like Hammerfall, but nowdays they are so boring to me, and almost all power metal is boring to me except Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray and Grave Digger (i consider Heavy but anyways)

You're spot on there.  Most so-called "power" metal has absolutely no power whatsoever and it all sounds the same to me.

I only ever returned one CD cause it was sick - forgot the name but I draw the line at child porn.  Bands have a lot of variability over time and even in one album so its hard to categorize them like we always try to do.  Whats Cradle of Filth?  I have a lot of residual junk in my collection - mostly thrash that sounds like loud noise -  probably had good cover art that sucked me in.   Mostly I cherry pick albums when I rip them.

I don't like a great ammount of bands.
If to look through the list of popular ones I don't like In Flames, Burzum, DarkThrone, Sirenia (but I LOVE their 1st album!), Tarja, new Tristania, new Cradle of Filth, new Theatres des Vampires and so on... I always meet a lot of band which are so boring and like each other: my list would be neverending if I posted all.

...but then I look at the video, and I totally hate the guys looks. I mean, he looks and acts like a ganster. WTH?! Metal should be metal and comes from the true roots of metal. I think this band is an intruder u_u. In summary: I hate it

I might say that I am not big fan of heavy metal but I like Iron Maiden and I don't like trash metal (I like Metallica but dislike Slayer, Antrax, Megadeth ect.) It just doesn't suit me.

Basically I would agree with OFFy... I can bear Iron Maiden though I would not play it myself when listening to music. I don't like stuff like Slayer, Megadeth...

But I also don't like most of the things like Blind Guardian etc... You know, stuff like heavy metal, speed metal, power metal. Really hate that. I find such music very annyoing.

And those shitty things called "numetal" like... Linkin Park.

I partially agree with Offy and Kris. I enjoy Iron Maiden and, more recently, Metallica, but not the bands you said like Slayer&Cía.

I can't critisize Blind Guardian, though: although I'm terribly bored of "power metal" and similar metals, BG was one of the bands that introduced me to metal, and the only one of the first ones that I still listen and enjoy from time to time. I think it is not so plain as other bands... It's not only "power metal", but it has more character than that 

(But the other band that introduced me to metal, Rhapsody (now "Rhapsody of fire"... or have they changed again to simple "Rhapsody"?), now cause me an incontrollable urge to yawn or run as far as possible  ).

I can't say I enjoy Nu Metal, Metalcore, or pretty much anything ending in "core".


But I do enjoy Thrash Metal (huge fan of Megadeth, older Metallica and Slayer) and Maiden is totally among my all-time favorite bands.

Totally agree. First albums were quite awesome but then... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! Lost their track lately but I guess I'm not missing much.

In general I don't like numetal, especially those core bands that The One mentioned but I really like Linkin Park's 1st album, only that one, other albums are horrible.
