Oh, that sounds very pleasant, miladies! Lucy, you do need to keep your plants happy so they can keep your bees happy. :)

Here, the day started sunny and calm. Then it got cloudier, and around 5:30 pm I observed something from my office that I've never seen in the flesh before. You have to know that my office is on the 4th floor of a building that's the highest within a few kilometers on a very flat piece of land, so I have a wide view over the surrounding fields, to a distant horizon.

So there were those low dark clouds rolling in beneath the higher ones, and looking out of the window I noticed something like a cloud travelling right across the ground. It was a cloud of dust, apparently, and it got stronger as it moved across a barren dry field. It looked just like the cloud of debris at the base of a tornado! Was it rotating? I can't tell for sure. I guess not, but at times it seemed to be. There was no funnel descending from the clouds above as you'd expect for a tornado. But as that structure reached some - what? agricultural truck-trailers? bales of straw? - it immediately tore something high into the air.

That structure quickly moved on and dissipated. I'm not sure what it was. A small and faint tornado? Dunno, but at least it was one hell of a wind.

Right after that thing there was a front of heavy rain coming along. Whatever it was, I'm impressed!

Cheers!

Very nice!

We just had a few grains that vanished as soon as they reached the ground. Apart from that it's unpleasantly moist and cool and grey - well, November's coming up.

Cheers!

So after one beautiful sunny day that would count as that of an Indian summer... It's raining like I'm in Seattle or something.

We've got few centimetres of snow this night. Branches of some trees were cut down quite quickly this day cause of the heavy snow they started to endanger people on the streets... :-)

It is very nice... those snowy nights with just city lights.

Well, it looks like Toronto is getting a bit of the cold touch of Hurricane Sandy, which is currently tearing our lovely Southern neighbors apart. It's currently raining like crazy and the wind is blowing like god-knows-what. It's so damn loud I can't even concentrate to do work.

End result for Toronto vs. Hurricane Sandy (so far): 60000 people lost power (most of them got it back already), some trees fell, public transport routes got detoured and some old lady died hit by a street sign that the wind tore off its post. This was all off from Monday night.
Tuesday, which was supposed to be the "holy-crap-we're-all-going-to-die" day of the storm was as calm as any regular rainy day here (we even got to see some patches of blue sky and the sun for a bit!), and today (Wednesday) has so far been the exact same thing. While the hurricane did give the States a huge hit, looks like this bullet grazed us.
Which is good because I can go to the show tonight without fear of being killed by flying debris, being flung back and forth by the wind, having the show ruined by a power loss in the middle of the bands' sets or returning home soaked in rainwater.

I've been to the windy North of Moscow today, so I can't comb my hair after that )... But here, in my district, the weather is very nice: cool and a bit snowy.

Sounds nice. :)

We are having late autumn weather here. It's calm and the last days were often foggy, with lots of frost on the trees until noon. Today, in contrast, it's very sunny outside.

Cheers!

The icy winter is creeping near, dark skies upon us.
I'm dead serious, it's starting to get cold and the sunset is at like 4:30pm. :ninja:

And well, nothing more fitting to the winter solstice: it's snowing. :)

It's the same here everytime... It is snowing before Christmas, then it melts and then - on Christmas day it usually rains.
But then again, who does.

It's said that, the Christmas day, we can have even 20º as a mzximum (in the coast... where I live). Don't tell me of high temperatures  :nana:

That's quite strange  I thought that in Spain it is regular winter too... not tropical winter.

It is. In the coast, of course, temperatures are always milder. Three or four weeks ago we had very low temperatures (3º or less on the coast), but right now we have a warm air wave, and there's even arriving more for next week. That's the reason  :fish:
