Believe it or not, folks,
we had a light fog last night!
The weather has been unsettled for a few weeks now: Occasionally sunny, warm but not hot, often cloudy and with rain-showers. Showers and sometimes severe thunderstorms.
The week before my birthday we had such a heavy rain around our cottage that mud flowed from the surrounding fields, actual brooks flowed right through our garden - and the cart-track leading to our piece of ground became impassable.
Dad had been stuck out there for a couple of days, so we did the garden-party in the weekend instead of right at the birthday. Luckily we had parked our cars at the end of the concrete road - because that night another rain refreshed all the mud. We would have been locked in if we had parked our cars right at the cottage!
In fact, a neighbour of ours ignored the mud and got stuck so badly that he had to leave the car there.
One of the thunderstorms also blew a potted fir-tree off my roof-deck. It was standing near the edge and I never expected it to be so easy to blow off. Well, I'll have to see if I can retrieve it...
The weather is not likely to change soon; at this time of year this kind of weather tends to be quite stable. We'll see... actually I don't really miss the big heat; I'd just like the air to be a little dryer than it is right now.
Cheers!
Markus
