I feel opressed by algebra. :ninja:

Oh, dear... How I hated that subject too, I almost failed several times. :ninja:

I passed Algebra 1 with a good grade, I understand it, but I just get so much work from Algebra 2. And last funny fact, I might be able to understand it and be in an advanced class, but I still don't like maths.

Similiar - after almost failing, I spent lots of time with it, so I actually passed at the final exam with an average mark, but still. Bah. Maths. Let's keep that for archiects and mechanic, why do they bother normal high school students with it?

Hi there,

Maths. Let's keep that for archiects and mechanic, why do they bother normal high school students with it?

Ummm... because math is the one way to learn structured, logical thinking and because a basic knowledge of math can help you to uncover a whole bunch of ugly lies the media are trying to sell you every day? :ninja: That could be one reason, I think. :wink2:

And to get back on topic: I feel a little tired after a nice Friday night, and I'm slightly down because this is going to be a short weekend with too much left undone. (Early shift on Monday ). Well, make the best of the time I have. :)

Cheers!

I don't agree, I don't remember any formulas we've learned and no one really does. Yes, I can do basic calculating, percentages, whatever I need in everyday life (even that's a rarity), but sloving a kilometer long inequality doesn't make you any further unless you want to specify to a field where it's required (that's what universities are for). They should teach less theoretic and more useful stuff like monetary issues (yes, partly math), how does the government and the election system work, show different fields of work and further learning possibilities (and what can they expect from them), why is brainless consuming not good, how can one be an (economically) responsible adult... But that doesn't just go only to higher level maths, in my country they teach waaaay too much theory in every subject and nothing of the really important stuff. We've learned in 10th grade from American math books that were written for college (university) students, because the desired level of maths is that high in high school here (I've learned a bunch of subjects in English).

But I'll stop rambling and being off-topic.

Ah, today I feel happy and sort of relieved.
Life seems to be going back to its natural course, and once more, I've accepted to become a goat (disguised as a sheep) among the sheep in the system. :ninja:

Hi Saphy,

why do you feel so tired? Has something to do with outer problems, or do you simply feel tired? I've a friend who told me she felt very tired some time ago, and doctors said she had a depression, and gave her pills for that. She was angry, because she knew it was not a depression... she only felt so tired that she needed an extra gingseng and Red Bull in the morning to be able to get up    A new blood analysis gave her the real reason: problems with thyroid. It didn't work properly (hypothyroidism), and treating that she improved very fast.

I don't know if that can be the reason, or there are absolutely different reasons... but I'd like to share this piece of experience with you, in case it can help  :hug2:
