Blues workshops
« on: August 17, 2007, 12:16:47 pm »
during last 2 days (Wednesday and Thursday) I participated first summer blues workshops in drums class. There were 11 guitarists, 3 drummers, 2 bassists and no harp-players. we had lessons with great blues musicians for example with Billy *HARP* Hamilton ;] of course we had 2 concerts and jam sessions in the evenings of these days. there were a lot of people. all club was full!! I've just started to learn playing drums so I didn't play on the stage, but second day, Jola Ochal, organisator told to everyone that during these days I was the only one girl sorrounded by 15 guys!! and that I'm a drummer ;] everyone was applauding :D some people wanted me to play drums but I had to say *no* because it's too early. Maybe next year :)

I had a great teacher - Nazim Alijew. he was very patient to me and learned me basic things and some other more difficult things I have to know.

All workshops were in a great pleasant atmosphere :) great people were there and everyone wanted to help others!

some pictures from this event!! (only from the second day)

and short (25 seconds) movies ;)

That must have been fun, Agnes!

You do know we'll want to hear you play sooner or later, don't you? And we won't accept a No that easily. :ninja:

Cheers!

I'll join my voice to Markus' ... must I say that every "NO" to our commands will be eaten until you let us hear you play?? :ninja:

A blues workshop? Damn, I'd like to go on one of those.

They helped you with every instrument? You could pick whatever you wanted?

*sigh*

I want me some blues schoolin'.

heja Agnes, I saw it, but unfortunatelly without sound - cause my pc still doesn't work in it.
So I can only tell You - it looks interesting and You are such a pretty girl. Will play it again after my pc will be reinstalled. :)
But then again, who does.

He-he-he... the pretty and shy Agnieszka that doesn't look to the camera so we cannot see her lovely eyes  :nosweat:
Nice for you Agnes! I hope that you'll be soon playing with all those people.

P.S. Do I have to say that I understood between 0,0001 and 0,0002% of the words from that chronicle?

I understood a few words. Or, at least, I *think* I understood a few words. This is what my hearing and incredible cognitive abilities told me:

1) For the love of me I can't remember the word, but it sounded a bit like 'učesnici', which the Croats on this forum will understand. People who come and participate in someth--- ooh! ooh! Participants! Yeah, participants. Party-C-pants. Ooh yeah. Like where this is going.
2) Blues (like, that dangly feeling in your legs when the sky starts moving sideways)
3) Hear (in the context 'something is heard' or isn't heard or... something)
4) Eventual (something will apparently happen... eventually)
5) History (of blues, religion and polish cuisine)

Of course, I also heard something about a portable pooltable having an affair with a knockwurst, so I'm not putting much faith into my hearing.

And yes, this was basically just a staring-at-Agnes kinda thing. Makes you wanna learn Polish.

Haha, I understood that too! Weird.  ^_^
