I suggest you buy at least Eee 901, cause of battery

1000H
Has 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD (will upgrade to 2GB RAM and 320GB HDD after my birthday)
Upgrades are peace of cake and no warranties voided
Has 4-5 hours of work on only one battery charge.
Has exactly 1.4kg
Small enough to fit in any backpack.
It's fantastic for college, trips, etc.

Has pre-installed "star office" witch is very light software fully compatible with MS Office.
I played counterstrike, works perfectly.
Watched youtube, works perfectly.
Watched movies with VLC player, works perfectly.
Will try adobe CS3 soon.

Only thing I miss is higher screen resolution (not the screen size)
