Yeah, you better don't get into an uncontrolled chain reaction.  :wink2:

People can sometimes be so stupid... but then again it's only a discussion board and what happens there won't really change your life; it's of no vital importance, so there's really no use in getting too upset.

Cheers!

Some reactions of some people in my life are... making me feel like this.

But then again, who does.

Remember: Worf is in the background because, if anything goes wrong, a klingon is always useful. Bring always with you a klingon side, and life will be easiest  :wink2:

Markus... I don't know :) I am trying at least.

Luth: Good advice. I will try to find one  Maybe I can lure him to my home with a glass of prune juice?

Don't we all have a Klingon somewhere inside...?

Maybe we do but it's very seldom the faithful protecting Klingon mentioned here :))
But then again, who does.

Hi!

I'm not going to explain a lot... as I'm very tired and going to bed very soon... but I had to let the steam out!

Yesterday I talked with my sister, who is still living with my parents. Everyone is ok, but there was a fire in their building. They live in the 5th floor, and just in the 3th (two below) the flat was absolutelly destroyed by fire. Everyone in the community was able to go out through the stairs, because the flat which was on fire had the door closed. But they (my family) had to run, passing in front of the flat on fire, in order to flee. They saw the flames from above, and the heat. They finally saw the flames going through the windows of the 3th floor flat...

As I say, nobody got harmed. The flat on fire is uninhabitable, but the structure of the building is ok. In my parents flat, nothing really bad happened: some plastic shutters melt, and a lot of ashes that appears not to leave no matter how many times the floor is washed... but nothing really important.

Of course, the worse was for them: I only knew when all had already happened, and I already knew everyone is ok. But it makes me feel anything can happen, and I can't help it...

I'm happy because no major damage happened, though! It's a mix of feelings, between relief and sorrow... or fear... and relief...  :afaid:

Oh dear, that's bad news indeed! The hazard, the fright, the material damage - really bad stuff! I wish this hadn't happened, but most of all I'm glad to hear that your folks are not injured and that they even have no major material damage. The soot - or the extinguishing water, if the fire happened above their flat - can make an apartment uninhabitable, too.

I do understand that you're very unsettled. Such an incident reminds one of the bad things that can happen. I wish you and your family that you can deal with these thoughts and emotions so well that soon they won't bother you anymore, and of course that nothing similar happens again.

My best regards and a big hug!

Markus

Oh Luthy! :hug2: I'm sorry for your family! But I'm happy to hear that they are fine, and the flat is more or less alright. You know, the mathematical chances, that something similar would happen to your dear ones, are very low from now on.

I'm sorry. But I am so glad to read everybody's ok! That's the most important thing. :)

I hope that your folks are able to calm down, Luth? Do you know already why the fire broke out?

Thanks for all your words, guys!  :hug2:

My family, as far as I can know (I've only talked by phone with them) are pretty ok. They have still some minor problems: they don't have gas (for short time), some things to change (shutters), the air conditioning to be fixed (the external part is "kaput", so...). Apart from that, everything is ok and no further problems in sight!!

About fire... I won't explain too much details, but it seems the little girl (about 7 years old) was alone at home and liked to play with matches and papers, which she threw down from the windows or balcony. It seems the family is not one of those you like to have as neighbours, with a lot of problems (shouts, quarrels, drinks...). I don't know them, as they arrived way after I moved, but now my parents have talked to me about them and... well, it's no mystery something bad happened there. For bad or good, I don't think they'll come back at that flat (they were not even legally there... they were sublessee, which is not even legal).

*sigh* I'm so glad nothing serious happened!  :ninja:

Leaving a 7 year old little one alone at home? :o I think that explains everything. :(

That's right. I would not leave my sister alone at home at all and she's almost 8.
But then again, who does.
