Hi there...
Today I have been talking with my friend. He works as a night receptionist at the hotel. So we spend looong nights talking about music, movies, literature, and so on. Now we were talking about American Beauty and recall that AB soundtrack was my first CD...

What was your first album?

Mine was a compilation from Motley Crue:

I don't have it anymore

But I remember a guy from school was selling it, I was intrigued by the cover, it really caught my attention. So I saved a lot to buy it! it would only cost me $11, but back in those days, when I was only 12, $11 (or actually 100.00 colones) was a lot of money! So I saved, and bought it

I've lost it now

but will remain as the 1st album I ever bought! *sigh*

-Rock album: The doors - live in ......

-Spanish Rock: El tri jajajaja- Nostalgia

-Heavy Metal: Black Sabbath - Sabbath bloody sabbath

-Opera: The best of Stravinsky

I think that it was Offspring - Ignition..... bet when you want to know first metal album I bought it was probably Nightwish - Oceanborn

OK..... and first CD it was 3 bought in same place and same time (in Madrid 2000)

First album I bought was Offspring - Americana, I think it was back in 1998 or 1999, I have been playing it today btw

First metal album I bought was Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth, I think it was in 2003.

And first Therion album I bought was Secret of The Runes, it was probably in 2004.

My first album was surely some crappy 80's hair or 'pop' heavy metal. I think it was Bon Jovi's Slippery when wet.
Whaaaaaaat!!! You have to start somewhere, and I started listening to that... ashaming but true

Anyway, my first "real" metal album was Metallicas Kill 'Em All. I bought it something like 6-8 months after Bon Jovi's .... evolution was fast enough in my case.

first ever- some part of smurfs' hits

about metal..hmm..propably it was TÝR at the concert. (Therion I got!) (except last 3 albums I bought :])
first rock: Lunatycy - single Hetman - Skazaniec

a lot of albums I normally...got ;]

The first album I ever bought was Joyride from Roxette.

I'm re-listening to it right now, and I can tell you that it brings back quite a few memories. Basically nothing has changed in the past 16 years

The first I bought was the Small Soldiers Soundtrack. . .
I HAVE NO SHAME!!!

Oh, and the first METAL album I bought was my third cd and that was Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe. . . such a frickin' awesome cd.

A bit old, this topic, but still worth the revival. Not as if it's any less relevant now than it was way back in... June.

My first album was a best of Django Reinhardt. Arguably, it could've been "The Song Remains the Same" by Led Zeppelin, but that was a DVD
