Title: What was first album you ever bought?

Today I have been talking with my friend. He works as a night receptionist at the hotel. So we spend looong nights talking about music, movies, literature, and so on. Now we were talking about American Beauty and recall that AB soundtrack was my first CD...

What was your first album? :roll-eyes:

I don't have it anymore :(

But I remember a guy from school was selling it, I was intrigued by the cover, it really caught my attention. So I saved a lot to buy it! it would only cost me $11, but back in those days, when I was only 12, $11 (or actually 100.00 colones) was a lot of money! So I saved, and bought it :)

I've lost it now :bawl: but will remain as the 1st album I ever bought! *sigh*

First album I bought was Offspring - Americana, I think it was back in 1998 or 1999, I have been playing it today btw :)

First metal album I bought was Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth, I think it was in 2003.

And first Therion album I bought was Secret of The Runes, it was probably in 2004.

Whaaaaaaat!!! You have to start somewhere, and I started listening to that... ashaming but true ¬¬
Anyway, my first "real" metal album was Metallicas Kill 'Em All. I bought it something like 6-8 months after Bon Jovi's .... evolution was fast enough in my case. :biggrin:

first rock: Lunatycy - single Hetman - Skazaniec

My first album was a best of Django Reinhardt. Arguably, it could've been "The Song Remains the Same" by Led Zeppelin, but that was a DVD :ninja:

The first album was Once from the same band, probably the first and last example where I could resist the temptation of downloading it before buying. :biggrin:

First metal album, vinyl, ..i think they were 3, because i bought them together: Carcass "symphonies of sickness", Benediction "Trascend the Rubicon" and Cathedral "the ethereal mirror".

On CD, the first were Dead Kennedys´"Give me convenience or give me death" and Metallica´s "Ride the Lightning" in 1993.

we´re getting older...

So that's how they got popular, parents were buying albums to their little daughters, you are not the first one that said that and on that fact I am basing by theory ;D

First Therion album: Live in Midgard. Awesome album! I still remember how impressed I was after first listening to it. It was like those times when you know something special is about to born between you a and -in this case- a band.
