Hey Kris - it's ok. Really. It's ok to feel afraid for your own life, it doesn't make you a quitter. Not in my opinion, at least. I admire people who have the guts to go into war zone by free will, but not doing so does not make you weak.

@ topic: I'm in some sort of overdrive mood.

Hey! Jenny it's nothing wrong with your choice. Just as Lucy said.. you might still need to learn certain things to help people later more effectively

It's very brave and nice from you to even think of such. To leave your life and give it to help others and at the same time learn stuff you wish. Who knows, maybe there wil be another such chance and you will take it and make best out of it.

Oh, that kind of job! That's not just a job, Mirjam, that's a much harder decision to make. You have said much that speaks for taking it, but you must not forget the other side: You do have a responsibility for the people in your immediate surroundings as well, and also a responsibility for yourself. This is a very hard decision, and whatever the outcome - everyone should respect it and noone has a right to call you a quitter - including yourself.

@topic: I feel tired but optimistic. This time of extra hours at work will end in a few weeks; until then I'll have two full weekends, and in March I'll do some vacation.

Ah, it's been a great day.

I'll resume it in a few statements:
A small gig where we played Metallica and Black Sabbath. The inauguration of a sports event at school.
A little kind of "hippie circle" with an acoustic guitar while watching a soccer game.

...And did I miss a hug party?

Personally, I'm a bit stressed for I have to work tomorrow and because I have late early shift next week (i.e. getting up at 4.30 a.m.), but then again there's gonna be some private celebration tomorrow night which is almost certainly gonna give me some strength again.
