Lepaca Kliffoth?
« on: January 15, 2005, 06:31:25 pm »
I have a question. Maybe this is a stupid question for those who already know it, but I not.

I know Lepaca is a kind of invocation: from where it is? I mean... in which culture or mythology?

And what's Kliffoth? I know that the mails from the bandmembers in Megatherion are mails "from Kliffoth"... I need help!!!!

Heya Luth!

I will try to enlighten with the very few I know (thanks to my all time inlightener HellWraith)...

Well, I donĀ“t think that the word "Lepaca" is something from a specific culture or an invocation...it is my understanding that it is a hebrew word that means "open or reveal". So, put in together with Kliffoth would be: "Reveal to us Kliffoth, or open  up...."...or whatever....get the idea? Kind of like when in the chat Markus, FranZ and I would invoke you saying: "Lepaca Luthen" and suddenly u would just pop out.

Now the Kliffoth thing. Therion spells it Kliffoth (they do that a lot, change the spelling of the words), but usually writtings about Qabbalah and stuff spell it as Qliphot...and u might find other variants. So...u have Kabalah (or Qabbalah) which is the "tree of life", a kind of doctrine that some jews practice that mixes magick, teachings and divinity. The Qabbalah cannot deny, though, that there is a "darker" side. When the so called "tree of life" is destroyed, shells are left from its destruction. The shells are now the Qlipphot which is more like the "tree of death" that has eleven "levels". This would more be like the counterpart of the "tree of life" and for every "character there is too it, there is another "charater" that opposes to it in the Qliphot.

We know Chris and his association with DR, they have immersed themselves into the "Left Hand Path" or following the "Tree of death"...

Ok I am very sleepy now...Hellwraith can explain better, but I hope this helped out. :)

Heya!

Lepaca Kliffoth (the song) has both enochian and egyptian words and phrases. And pretty much what lady Ereshkigal said is what it really is... she wrote it pretty much all.

Now... hmmm perhaps you might wonder what "enochian" is. This is the language in which some prayers appeared to Dr John Dee and Edward Kelly in 1584. It is said that this is the language that angels use and it is also a language that is used in magick and some summonings. Note that Vovin means Dragon in enochian.

Hope, that'e good info  :D

Hello,

I  'v somewhere seen that "Lepaca" means something like "hail"

E.G. Lepaca Kliffoth -> Hail Kliffoth
       Lepaca Naamah -> Hail Naamah

I think it really makes sense.

I also agree, I think that overall the word also brings some kind of veneration too  :)

I didn't read previous posts but yeah, Lepaca is a way of salutation.
