haha nice topic Loke :D
I know lots of Latin proverbs, here are some I can think of at the moment

Estote prudentes sicut serpentes, et simplicae sicut columbae.

Be cunning like snakes and simple like pigeons. (I don't know if this is the exact English translation, I'm translating it directly from my language)

Scio me nihil scire.
I know I don't know anything.

Testis unus, testis nullus.
Witness one, witness none.

Amor magister est optimus.

Love is the best teacher.

Omnia vincit amor.
Love defeats all.

Res, non verba.
Acts, not words.

Latin was one of my compulsory subjects in 1st and 2nd grade so I learned quite a lot of them :)

Off a Rhaposdy song:

BTW, I'm thinking of taking Latin next year, but it's unlikely, I'll probably end up taking Computer Sciences. :ninja:

I learnt Latin in 8th and 9th grade... but unhappily, none of it got stuck to my head, mainly because the 8th grade teacher preferred to read us aloud than actually teaching us smth  :lol3:

We are going in the circle at night and fire consumes us... or something...

hey Loke I can find my old Latin schoolbook on the attic, there are some poems and texts in Latin, so I can translate them and post them here if you want :)

If yes, I'll do that within next few days ;)

Okay, so I found my Latin school book today, and found this poem... It was one of the easiest ones, and I'm kinda forgetting Latin, so I wasn't able to translate a better one...  :nosweat:

Gaudeamus

Gaudeamus igĭtur,
Iuvĕnes dum sumus.
Post iucundam iuventutem,
Post molestam senectutem
Nos habebit humus.

Vita nostra brevis est
Brevi finietur.
Venit mors velocĭter,
Rapit nos atrocĭter
Nemĭni parcetur.

Vivat Academia,
Vivant professores!
Vivat membrum quodlĭbet,
Vivat membra quaelĭbet,
Semper sint in flore!

Let's joy

Let's joy then,
While we're still young.
After pleasant youngness,
After dull oldness
Soil will have us.

Our life is short
Shortly it will end.
Death comes fast,
Grabs us ferociously
Saves no one.

Long live Academy,
Long live professors!
Long live every one of us,
Long live every part of us,
Forever be in flowers!
