PWI? Ooh, what's th--- oh, an MMO.

Returning to EVE Online in a couple of days. There's a neat in-game trick that allows me to play for free (providing I can accumulate a certain amount of in-game currency, which I can thanks to a few friends). The game is an MMO, but laid-back and self-reliant, which suits me just fine. I'm not one for grinding and obsessive playing.

Have Lord of the Rings Online installed, since it's free (well... freemium), but I've only played it twice... a few weeks ago. Not bad, always fun to grab a cold one with Aragorn, but the game's too needy. It wants me to play it regularly. I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of commitment.

For those of you who like shooting things, role-playing and post-apocalyptic vistas, have you tried Fallout: New Vegas?

The game's buggy to the point of needing a good doze of pesticide, but if you're lucky enough to make it work without crashing you're in for a lovely treat. Promising narrative, fun combat system and a feel so madmaxian it makes me want to move to Australia.

I can also recommend the other games in the Fallout series, especially the first two

Because "War. War never changes." (Ron Perlman, intro to every single Fallout game)

Man, I loved Fallout 3...
But I need a new PC to run New Vegas (ridiculous, considering it's the exact same goddamn game engine from Fallout 3!).

That is ridiculous. Too bad, the game's pretty good.

Didn't like F3 that much. I felt it lacked the fallout vibe that "New Vegas" and the first two Fallouts offer. Reminded me to much of "Oblivion", which isn't that surprising since it's more or less the same engine.

Not that that's an excuse.

If anyone's interested, the Mass Effect 3 trailer is out.

I tried to warn them. Mass Effect 1. Mass Effect 2. The Reapers are comin'. I told 'em. But did they listen?

Man, there's another series of games I still haven't played.
Life's too short, games are too long, there's too much work in real life and that cuts down from gaming.

Which reminds me, I'm currently playing Word, Excel and Google SketchUp for Physics and Math. :ninja:
