My opeth cover
« on: September 22, 2007, 03:52:16 pm »
Hello guys! it's been a long while hehe
as you probably imagine I have been busy makin music...
Anyway, I just posted the same thing on the therion forum so I'll just copy and paste

I have been working with several projets, one is a one man cover band Smiley
My first song with that one was an instrumental song from opeth, which was kinda easy for the first video... but in the future I am going to make more complicated stuff, hopefully some therion Smiley
Anyway, here's the link, I'm open for suggestions/ideas.

Hope you guys like it, see ya!

Sounds great! You truly have got a good technique in all the instruments, but the bass is not really audible.
BTW, when are we getting more Galvorn material? I still want to hear the orchestra work I was told about by a certain OFFman.

Hey Markus! Good to see you too!
Thanks a lot the one, Yeah, bass was a little low on the mix, and lead guitar a little high... but what's done is done...
Besides, for a first, I think it ended up pretty good hehehe.
The worse part of the video is that all instruments must be recorded in one single take... Cutting and pasting different takes would be horrible.
It should be interesting to see what happens when I start making opeth's 10+ min ultra progressive songs in one take (deliverence is also on my next-to-be-covered list)
Anyway... We (galvorn) are finishing a 4 songs demo cd, (it will have keyboards, not orchestra), and then we are going to keep working on the cd (with will have the 90 piece orchestra). The cd should be done... I would say in the first half of 2008, so for now, we are going to start distributing two songs from the demo, so you guys should be hearing them anytime soon.
By the way... Where do you guys suggest I upload the songs? for distributing videos is youtube, without a doubt, but for audio?

Dunno, there was this one place I knew where you could add media and have it playing on the browser...
Oh! maybe you could open a MySpace

I liked your video! Thanks for sharing. I really liked the idea to split the screen in four, in order to see you playing all of the instruments in the same time. :) Isn't it hard to do a one man's project? It seems a pretty big effort to me.

opeth's 10+ min ultra progressive songs

Can't wait to hear you playing those, really. Actually, my favourites at the moment.

Hey Manolo, you can upload full songs on last.fm, then I could recommend them to all my friends.

Just what I was gonna say. Last.fm man, that's the way to go. Excellent site, especially for stuff like that.

Great cover, btw. And, may I say, an excellent choice. Me love Opeth long time.
Can't stop the signal.

for now I posted them at http://public.box.net/vagodeoz
since someone had already created galvorn on last.fm and I can't upload it, so I already sent a mail to them, they are coming with all legal force on the one who created that without permission.
you better be prepared for jail bitch!
hahaha not really, well, a part. I did sent a mail and they are supposed to give me the ownership of the galvorn page on last.fm... theoreticly... so we will just have to wait and see.

I think that any last.fm member can upload songs and add informations about bands.
