it's nothing set against you setting your own avatar. But... you know... computers are crazy, and tend to think of they own. If you don't find the avatar option in your "Profile" information, you can send me the picture you want as the avatar, and I'll set it for you.

It's strange, because it seems that it doesn't work the "Upload picture" option, what I did in first place... and made you be without avatar for a moment. I had to upload it to Photobucket and add the link to the picture, and now it works

I have this fascination to ancient statues, figures, steles and scultures depicting a female body with exagerations in their body (like big breasts, open wide vulva, and mutilated arms) because I can feel the great female power expression. Back to Mario´s Avatar, I think mario is enjoying very comfortable that bath.

Question: What are the limits imposed on avatar selection?

I've managed to surmise this much:
1) It should preferably be .gif
2) Dimensions 99x99, if you really must.
3) Up to 5kb size (give or take).

Is this right? Am I missing something?

Been trying to upload a larger version of a Snowy avatar (or "snowatar", as I fondly call it), but it keeps getting sized down. As does my zombie avatar (yes, I guess that would be a "zombatar", then). I've noticed that the OFFman's avatar is 99 px by 99 px and 5,32 KB in size, so I took that as a reference point since his is the largest I came across (his *avatar*, you filthy minds, his avatar!).

Of course, I might've missed something.

my avatar is the ground plan of a castle. Precisely, the ground plan of the labyrinth library in the abbey from The Name of the Rose. We just mention that in another post

Then the Latin letters, of course, is the signal of each room in the library. Connect them in order then they also represent the name of each continents, the Middle Ages' way. They constitute the world map just like Eco said in the book

I think it's cool

I have used it as my avatar since I found the picture in a 80s Chinese version
