Snow storm is over. May be if the western winds are with me I'll be able to have clear skies for tonight... fingers are crossed ¬¬

Sad to hear you couldn't see it, Markus.
From this side of the World, we could just see how the shadow uncovered the moon. My dad, some friends and me climbed to the roof to check it out, really nice.

I was about to write something similar last night. The sky was clouded as hell over here... but then I realized that the clouds were not that "thick" and that I actually could see the moon through the coulds. It was very special, it was like seeing a blured white disc becoming black, and then white again. The eclipse was not total ove here, but it was a good show. I did miss the special view of the "orange moon" during totallity... but hey, at least I saw something :yeha:

Sky totally clear here... Xiquet and I could see the full eclypse from the beginning to the end. Very beautiful, indeed! And it took a looong long time! I tried to make some picture, but Xiquet's camera, although not bad, was not good enough  :bawl:

I'm sorry for you, Markus. Sky was cloudless and clear in all ways!   :yeha:

Hey folks,

I'm happy for everyone who saw it. :) Luth, an eclipse friend of mine went to Jerez and had clear skies there, too.

Despite the clouds I spent the hours of the eclipse outdoors. I didn't want to kill that time with the others but preferred to be outside, mainly alone. It was especially bitter for the kids in our astronomers' society who had never seen a total lunar eclipse before. Worst of all: Both the night before and the night after the event were reasonably clear.  >:(

Cheers, anyway!
