Champion Breakfasts
« on: January 28, 2007, 10:24:18 pm »
A champion breakfast is food full of power that makes you start the day with energy and strength. I'll post a list of examples:

- "Order of Chiles Rellenos": Consist of 2 big chilis refilled with cheese layered with egg, and together with rice and beens. This is excellent when is cold

- Vegetarian Sandwich: Lettuce, tomatoe, aguacate," alfalfa", chilis, mushroom, cheese and mustard. Excellent when you are going to walk in the hills.

- Chorizo with potatoes: Chorizo ( kind of sausage) mixed with potatoes and you can put chilis or salsa. Excellent for sports.

Now feel free to put examples of Champion Breakfast :wink2:

Hi there,

this champion's breakfast is Müsli (family-internal designation: chicken food). That's crushed grains of cereals with dried fruits and nuts. Steep that in milk for about 20 minutes, have a glass of orange juice while waiting, and serve it with several litres of any caffeine-containing liquid. Go back to bed because it's waaayyy nicer there.

Cheers!

My champion breakfast which usually helps to keep me awake...

Fruit salad, a good cup of tea and a cheese sandwich... It keeps me working until I have to go eat again.

I usually have the same thing every morning...   coffee and a big bowl of oatmeal with maple syrup.  Sometimes I'll have a cold cereal with fruit in it.   If I get ambitious, I make bacon and eggs.

As I mentioned in other section of the forum, I found my champion breakfast in Mexico, and it's called "huevos divorciados" (divorced eggs). They are simply a couple of over-easy eggs served on corn tortillas and separated (divorced!) by some refried beans. One egg is then covered by a red-hot sauce and the other by a green-hot sauce:
.

Another of my champion breakfasts include a good portion of fruit, a ham+cheese sandwich and always, ALWAYS a couple of good black Colombian coffee cups... no sugar, no milk, no bull... you know what I mean I guess

Michelada is not for breakfast and not for winter. Michelada is for Carnival, for summer and for the afternoon.

Romanians eats lots (and I mean it, LOTS) of bread, at any meal of the day, so if Virus said "some"... don't let yourselves deceived!

I'm not used to that tho, plus that I'm always in a run in the morning (regardless how early I wake up), so my usual breakfast is: a cup of coffee with milk and 2 pieces of toast with butter and marmalade or white cheese. Sometimes I change the toast for a couple of croissants.

Thanks Tequila!

Well, usually I don't have breakfast, because this means half an hour extra sleep, but... now you've made me think about it. :)

A bit late, but here's my champion's breakfast:

Just awaken I only drink a juice, usually orange-juice.

Just arrived to work, I eat one or two cereal bars, and sometimes I drink a "cappuccino" (from the machine at work :P).

And very late, at 11.30 or so, I go to the bar with some colleages to have the "good breakfast": half sndwith (1/4 bar of bread), or a "biquini" (a jam and cheese hot sandwich made with this soft, pattern bread... I haven't found the English name of it); and a white coffee.

All this depends a lot: now I make 3-breakfasts because of the hour I wake up, the uses of the people I work with... but I change it depending on the work or the day (of course, in weekend my breakfast use to be... a little late... let's say... 12h... a white coffe and a croissant or similar  :nana: ).
