Oh by the way, folks,

this is actually a Google-advert. It's telling the story of siblings from my hometown who created an interactive map on Google Maps during the flood last June. That map spread information about road blocks, emergency shelters, and chiefly about sites where volunteer help was needed. During the flood incredibly many people helped, and they had to be coordinated somehow, directed to the places where help was needed. That map helped.

That's the story. The short film gives you some impressions of my home town.

Ey Markus! Nice story! And nice video... thanks to you, I've known about the story, as I don't know German enough as to understand (not more than some words, now one word, now two in a row...). That's good to see how new technologies can help people, and how young people is willing to help with those!
