Ok, ok, some might look childish without beard but... I don't have anything against a boy/man/whatever with beard, but against the spiky hair itself. Some of my friends have beards, and kissing them on the cheeks is highly irritating

Hi beard-fans,

on Pratchett's disc world the dwarf women have beards, and their men seem to like that.

I'm not a dwarf woman, I'm an Elf.

Btw, Elves (even males) don't have beards, at all. The hair just doesn't grow.
E.g. one of the characteristics of the Princes of Dol Amroth (a city in south-west Gondor) is they don't have a single hair on their faces, because of the Elven ancestors of the ruling family and city itself

Well, males are (even) taller, and even without the beard, they do have more more masculine features
