Well, first it asked who you are and how you came up there. Then it complained that there were no quiet places anymore, tourists everywhere. That´s when you offered it the carrot. Of course you couldn´t know that carrots are slightly toxic for its species, and handing someone a carrot is considered a terrible insult on its home planet. The little green guy asked if you wanted to poison him.

I just told it that recently large amounts of alcohol had been discovered in a molecular cloud 6000 light years from here.

And now gimme another barrel, please.
