From this through to this. Even if you're not into Baroque, listen at least to the second one: It's short, it's splendid and it will ring a big bell if you're familiar with German Christmas carols.

Cheers!

Well, the second one is sung to the melody of a very famous German Christmas carol, named "Vom Himmel hoch" ("From Heaven Above"). I was so astounded when I heard it for the first time. Later I researched a little and found out that the carol was written by Martin Luther (who was born not far from my city, btw) and used by Johann Sebastian Bach for his Christmas oratory.

So the melody they're singing is from the carol and the splendid wind section is by Bach, and I'm very, very fond of it.

Cheers!

Markus

Burzum - Dunkelheit

Yes, I know, bite me! :-) Everyone says how horrible Burzum is but I really love this song. Actually it brought me to metal music. I started on Burzum.

"Kishi Bojin", by Onmyouza.

I'm listening to an entire concert of their latest album tbh. This is great GREAT material. They are a japanese folk metal band with British New Wave of Heavy Metal influences (double guitarist, and all that). Their songs are all about japanese legends and myths, and they always wear kimonos on stage.

Not many concerts can compete with this one visually, in my opinion :o

Kuroneko, the female vocalist, has to be one of the best voices I have ever heard.

Hey Hatecraft!

This is amazing piece of music! Thanks for sharing! That's exactly something I was looking for. Lately it's quite hard to find some nice and interesting "new" band. I am picky

And I like this a lot! I am also just a bit interested in Japan since I saw few samurai movies and read few books. And well - Japanese religious streams are part of my studies (not yet studied though).
But then again, who does.

I'm glad to be useful :)

Right now I'm listening to Call of Dagon.

I like her a lot too :) I love the first album, No Angel. The second one I like a lot too but Safe Trip Home did not really hit me up. Now I'm impatiently waiting for the album "The Girl Who Got Away".
