My real favourites are Rapture (the best one), Shpae of Despair, Katatonia, Summoning, Norther, Ensiferum...

What else ? I think this is.

I like Haggard and Nightwish. Iced Earth have some great songs and Tristania too.
I got into metal with Blind Guardian, they are great.
But of course my favorite band is Therion.

Aluqak:
Bands like Therion... mmm I'D said none. There other symphonic metal bands like Haggard, Hollenthon or Liva which I like a lot but they are different from Therion in many ways.
I also like Dark Tranquillity, early In Flames, Tristania, a couple of albums from Lacrimosa (Elodia and the Live album), Estatic Fear, Finntroll, Cruachan, Suidakra, Penumbra, early Moonspell, a few songs from Theatre des Vampires (although the lyrics are VERY cheesie), early Dimmu Borgir, Quo Vadis, and of course Therion.
I am surely missing some other bands, but right now those are my favourites.
