Yeah, it mostly material, except for the couple of people whose sanities were questionable after spending a couple hours without electricity or Internet.

I see, Jorge. Well, that's good news after all.

Over here, we're still having the finest imaginable summer weather. No complaints at all! It's sunny, mildly warm, no annoying or even dangerous heat. Lovely!

Cheers!

So, how's the weather in everyones countries?

I know summer can be rough in Europe.

We have had some rain in EL Salvador, and today it's sunny and 27C.

I keep checking often the temperature in Alaska, today it's 23C, not bad, right?

Still fine over here. :) Sun and warmth but the nights are still reasonably cool. Some rain would be nice, but not on Friday, please. :lol3: However, heat and moisture are increasing, which makes the weather less and less pleasant.

Alaska sounds pleasant, though...

Cheers!

Yes! humidity is terrible! I hate it....in the city, San Salvador it is not that bad. There are other cities in which it sucks.

We've had some thunders, I like those because it will cool off during the night :-)

Keep cool my friends :)

Just been in the news: from last 14 days, there have been 13 with hail somewhere in Catalonia (usually in the farming zone, where it can be more harmful). It's absolutely atypical for a July, and the reason is the good weather stuck in Ireland instead of Italy and its Mediterranean area... Summarizing: a lot of heat (the usual one), a lot of humidity (nothing weird here) and a lot of evening with thunderstorms and hail... which is absolutelly weird and bad for the crops  :afaid:

Hail, Luth? That's quite nasty; can do a lot of damage and often comes with severe thunderstorms which can do a lot of harm, too. I hope you'll get calmer weather soon!

We're up for two very hot days which will be followed by showers and thunderstorms tomorrow...

Cheers!

It looks like we are following German weather again. We have very hot temperature, and the forecast says we'll have refreshing rain on Monday afternoon. The plants are suffering...

I would like to host you to sleep! We have terribly hot weather (41°C predicted for today) but at night it's about 24°C in the bedroom. Thanks to the vicinity of mother Nature. :)

41º?? OMCD! It's like the south of Spain? Have you moved and told us nothing?  :ninja:

We were supposed to have a lot of rain and storms the last night, but at least here, I've seen nothing (although I was sleeping  :innocent: ). Now there's no rain... and for all today, more storms were predicted. Let's keep the rain away, because this evening we want to go to a beach bar where a musician we liked a lot plays. Rain = Music OFF...  :ninja:

Send the rain here! I know why it was so hot in our bedroom. We sleep on the last floor in this house, and it's in the attic. Lucky us we've bought a flat on 5th floor! (and 2 more are above us!) Ps. We've got our block warmed, the windows are in our flat and we have all the walls :P Maybe next week we will be able to see our flat in reality for the first time!

You better ask for the rain to fall slowly, Agnes! Not in severe thunderstorms as we had it the past few nights.

Luth, enjoy a dry night and tell us all about it afterwards. Lucy, be careful with that heat! And Agnes, best of luck with apartment and do keep us updated! :wOOt:

Cheers!

Today we've got only about 36°C in shade but in last days it was around 40°C too :( In my flat (under the roof) it's almost 30°C :( I cannot sleep well at all.
But then again, who does.

Same here, Kris - our bedroom is under the roof, the window is still opened (the only way to get some air inside), we turn on the fan for almost the whole night to at least fall asleep.

I think time went crazy! Correct me if I'm mistaken but... that's not the normal weather, is it? I mean... 40º in the shade is not so weird in the south of Spain, but the center of Europe? Really? Time might be colder than the Mediterranean!  :disgust:

Nice weather... nice weather... perhaps too nice? Please, can anyone tell me if Autumn is really here? We've had two or three "more atumnish" but, since some days ago, we're again at 25º, and with a lot of humidity (which makes it feel like even warmer, even at night). I've seen the forecast, and we won't have lower temperatures during, at least, five more days. We'll arrive at November with almost-Summer temperature? Is the weather crazy? I wish to get rid of my Summer clothes (well... to have it hidden in the wardrobe, at least) and take my Autumm clothes to see a little of the world!!  :bawl: :ninja:

Hey Luth,

it's very similar over here. We're up for about 20°C. This feels scary with the autumnally short days and low sun. But even scarier were the 20°C Munich experienced last December!

They say that the climate change is confusing air streams. That lead to cold and long up here winters recently even though the average world temperature was higher than ever, and these late warm days may be related to that, too. I mean, strange end extreme is nothing new at all, but the exceptions of yore are becoming the rules of today, and that is strange and frightening.

Cheers, anyway!
