I am very tired but I had a great day and I am so glad for it. Tomorrow we make a trip thru Bern (only switching trains), Interlaken, Laute... something and Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch :-) I am so curious about the cog wheel trains. The weather seems to be in a good mood (at least forecast says so).

Markus, I've been passing thru Naumburg (Saale) with my CNL Phoenix yesterday/today night. Is it somewhere near to You?

Yeah, Naumburg is near here. It's on the Southern tip of my federal country - just float down the river for a while and we can meet at my planetarium. :biggrin:

This makes me wish travelling abroad again... last abroad trip was so good!  :biggrin:

Hey folks,

I enjoyed last weekend a lot. It was a late weekend for me as I had to work on Saturday but gt Monday off. Mom's birthday party was on Sunday afternoon and evening and it was quite enjoyable. Maggie stayed at my place for the party (we couldn't take her to the cafe and my apartment is closer than my parents') - and I just kept her over night so that dad wouldn't have to do the late and the early walk with her.

So I used the occasion for a long walk of almost two hours on Monday morning which turned out to be a little adventure. I went to a nearby artificial lake that I often go to with my friends - but I went further than ever before. So this walk took me to some places I've never been before, even though they're not that far from my home. Oh, and I found the remains of an eaten bird of prey. :afaid:

Well, office week has begun yesterday but it's a short one. :biggrin:

Hey folks,

has nobody been in any mood lately? :unsure:

Anyway, I feel very blood-donorly today. Total amount donated, including today: 5 liters - i.e. one small bucket. :evil2: My boss immediately asked me if I'm really, really not ill. She had asked me recently whether she had to worry about me, due to all the weight loss. I told her that everything's fine... today I've turned up with the bandage still visible on my arm, so... :roll:

I am myself thinking of going to donate first time. I planned it today but yesterday I got a nasty cough and had bit of a fever so no donating for me for 14 days. Even though then I expect them to send me away with my anemia but let's see :)

Congratulations anyway! :) Do You get paid for the donations? Here You can get paid or You donate free and after certain number of donations You get some "award" :)
Also here You can donate every 14 days the blood plasma - have You ever tried that?

Yeah, there are places where you can "donate" blood for cash, but I don't want that. How could I count it as my Good Deed of the Day when I get payed for it?

Blood for cash is done here frequently with the plasma donation you mentioned. This is especially popular with students or housewives or unemployeds - all the people who are in need of some extra pocket money. I used to do that for a while back then, but then I got a real job. :wink2: So now I lots of cash and little time... Also I didn't like the frequent punctures which started to irritate the skin.
