I will donate my blood ASAP. Mine blood group is A RH + :) if anyone asks me  :whistle:

I can't donate now cause I'm taking some pills and using steroids on my skin (I think I have an allergy to local water - each shower causes that I am scratching my thighs..) + have a sore throat.  :ouch:

Wish me a fast recovery and water change ;)

On Topic: I am tired after visiting 2 shops with electronic stuff, university library, 6 times chemist's - 3 times in the same one , buying 5 prescriptions for 2 people, 2 were for me, buying some food and in the end staying in a traffic in a bus. ;) Time to bed then. Nighty night everyone  :zzz2: :zzz2:

I'm feeling sad. My notebook is dying. It started few days ago. With the blue screen of death and today it continues with sudden shot downs of the monitor... Also got terribly slow and such.
I mean... I've been watching it for some time already. I knew it's going to happen... but I did not suppose so soon  :bawl:

Kris, have you tried formatting the hard drive? It's hard, but it can save the computer if there's nothing physical  :cht:

Check your comp with COMODO antivirus (it's free and very good) - I recommend you to install Comodo Internet Security for the future (it's antivirus + firewall).

Also it's important to do not put everything on your desktop. It causes that everything is opening and starting slowlier.

if the scan of comp doesn't help, formatting the HDD is a good solution + reinstalling the windows/linux/whatever you have. If it doesn't help it might be sth broken, it can be a graphic card, or RAM or disc or I don't know what else.. Then go to the service (I recommend to visit producent's service or authorised one..)

It's hardware... broken monitor actually. We already found out. Now I am writing my post while watching the ... desktop on our TV. Notebook itself works but I have to use external monitor - in case our TV.

hey hey ;) that's good that it is just a monitor.. too bad you can't change it.. ;) but good that you can plug in your tv ;) go with your laptop to the service, maybe they will fix it :)

No, it's 8 years old ntb... it would be too expensive. I guess I will ask some of my friends if they could lend me an old flat monitor (the tv is rather uncomfy for the eyes... I can hardly read letters - which means too much concentration - which means quick migraine) and then until the rest dies I will go on... until then I might save some money for new ntb :(

Kris, sorry about the notebook. When we visited the Palace Bathory you already mentioned that it's likely to fail soon. Sounds like you're going to get an exciting new notebook soon.

Luth, congrats! You may be proud of yourself that you dared again and that you did it better this time, making sure you've eaten and drunk enough.  :thumbup: You don't like it? I do, I find it fun - and it's the easiest way to be a real life saver. I'll follow your example soon; I intend to donate some blood on the 12th of September on my way to work.

I just wonder, though: Was the Royal Blood blue or did it look like a mere mortal's blood?

Myself, I feel fine. Visited an airport day at a small regional airport today with my dad. It was a present for his birthday last year; his wish was to do a flight with an AN-2 and we did that today. It was big fun, and we even flew over our cottage, saw it from the air and took a few photos. Dad was even allowed to sit in the cockpit, next to the pilot, guiding him to our cottage. :wOOt: You should have seen him; he looked like a little boy in a toy store. :lol3: I was so glad to see him so happy.

Btw... I can't tell you about my blood, because one of the conditions to allow my blood to be taken is that I must not see at it pouring out from my body. Never ever  :ninja:

But... in the few chances I have to watch it when I get hurt, I'm not sure... depending on the light, it may be red, or have some blueish shades...  -_-

well.. to be in the topic of computer-stuff-crashes: my HDD (500gb) is broken. I had some games there (too bad..I had diablo saves on it: druid on 96 lvl  :bawl:) + some programs and something else I don't remember now..  I'm thinking about buying a new disc, but this time SSD..

so summing up I feel not so happy.. I have to spend about 100€ for a new disc.. the problem is that I haven't got money from the university (holidays and so on...) + gonna get my pension on 20th of Sept... naaaaah  ¬¬

There's no chance to dig up the data from it? Some pc companies offer that service is it's not absolutely damaged.

I have my 640 Gb disc but for all matters we have the music on the other 1 Terra HDD. I should do so with my school stuff though too .................

Aw Kris :hug2: No worries, I'm also unemployed. As I was saying... We should start a club for cool unemployed people like ourselves.

In other news, I just had my first university class. The leap from high school, despite the fact I survived one of the most intensive high school programs offered, is still quite a big one... I had a hard time writing down all the important things my calculus prof had to say. :ninja:
