I have to announce I officially became a Final Fantasy XIV (14) BETA tester. Jealous?

The actual game will be really expensive. To play FFXI you had to pay 13€/$13 each month, which gets really heavy on your wallet after a few months.

Well, I heard my personal favorite Age of Empires III (with all of its expansions) has been out for Mac for a while now. Not longer than PC though. :nana:

Ditto. When the Zombie Apocalypse comes, I think we'll be the one's laughing our asses off, wildly shooting into the air while the numberless hordes of the undead ravage the unsuspecting.

Currently playing "DeathSpank". Hugely enjoyable, especially if you're a FRP buff.

The game could be summed up as "Monkey Island meets Diablo", with less absurd puzzles and more absurd story elements. Well, the same amount, really.

A dual boot is out of the question?

Started playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Wonder how long I'll manage this time before giving up.

Yup, that would just be a waste of space, as I have (almost) all I need on Ubuntu.

Why'd you give up? :D (Not that I should be the one to ask this)

Well, yes, that's a fair point. If WINE gets the job done for those few situations when Windows is needed, why dual boot?

Since most (if not all) of the programs I work with are Windows-based, I'm stuck with it. Emulation software isn't an option since audio/video editing software can be a massive hardware hog as is.

Haven't tried it, admittedly, but I iz skeptikal cat.

So I dual boot :)

One of these days, probably the next time I reinstall the OS, I'll just put Ubuntu and wing it.

I get bored. (You also give up on games as a hobby? :D)

Not sure why. cRPGs inevitably bore me at one point, with a few exceptions (games I actually finished, woohoo!). With the Elder Scrolls series, I get all psyched and excited and spend hours fine-trimming my character, rush into the world... and find it wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be.

+1.  It took me ages to decide to uninstall Windows though. You know it's bad when you get emotionally attached to software

Yes, I get bored too. I think there's not more than 5 games that I actually finished  :ninja:

TES4: Oblivion is still among my favorite RPGs. I mean, the graphics and the gameplay are fun and addicting.
If you like it, I totally recommend Fallout 3, because it's vastly similar features, together with a lot of more blood, guts and a good story.

Oh, been there. And to add insult to injury, you're attached to Windows. Windows only hits me 'cause it loves me.

I've played Fallout 3. It was fine :D

Thing is, one of the rare cRPGs I've finished was Fallout 1. A beautiful game. So was the sequel. I mean, you gotta love a game in which, if you name your character Buffy and make her wear leather armor, you get a huge weapon bonus at the start of the game :D

Fallout 3 was a bit too Oblivionesque for maximum enjoyment. Also, damn, the madmaxian setting was visually great in the first two - the third one seemed devoid of all color. I get that it's a bleak future, but comeone!

Good point there.  ;D

@Jorge: Are you serious? XD Has this been going on since summer? I cannot believe you still didn't get bored of it; I think that the longest I've played this game was...two weeks :D?
