Title: NTSMS meeting 2007
Post by: Markus on November 14, 2006, 09:12:14 pm
Hi folks,

in the shoutbox the idea of an NTSMS meeting came up. Bucharest would have been a great occasion, but many of us can't go due to the extremely short notice. But if we take more time to plan, a meeting might well be possible, so let's start collecting ideas right now!

My suggestion is Wacken 2007 (August 2-4). We could have lots of metal fun, listen to great bands including a certain Swedish symphonic metal band... Who's interested? Any other ideas?

Cheers!

Markus

Hi Lucy,

that would be great indeed. :)

You said W:O:A 2007 was an option for you?

Cheers!

This means "I'll go"? YES! :wOOt:

Mmmhh... I haven't been a metalhead for very long, so I've never been to Wacken before. But seeing Therion is one big reason, seeing Lucy is another big one. Anyone wish to add another reason?

Growl it: NTSMS goes Wacken! :evil2:

Cheers!

Markus

:lol3: I'm a metalhead since 24th February this year...

Now I got what you meant: I wasn't thinking about going to Wacken yet, but it's definitely getting more and more inviting...

Ey! I am out for two hours and... what do you do? You arrange a NTSMS meeting without me!!!!!!  :mad3:

And... that's a fantastic idea!!!!!  :wOOt:

I can't promise, yet, that I'll be there, but I have more time now to think about it, save money (hard thing, but well... who knows?) and think how fantastic it would be! I promise I'll think about it and, if possible, I'll be there. Although I don't know if my body will survive to a full metal festival: I have never gone to any festival, metal or not metal. I suppose it would be a hard proof of my new metalheaderism  :evil2:

Which makes me remember what Markus said:

Mmmhh... I haven't been a metalhead for very long, so I've never been to Wacken before.

When did you became a metalhead? You've the same age than me, so your conversion (like mine) has had to be very late comparing with the average age of conversion. I became a metal fan at the age of 25 (but I think I won't beat Eve here  :lol3:). Well... maybe Lucy beats me too

And I thought I was a strange case  :bawl:  :ninja:

Hmm... I've been coqueting with metal since I was 14... and I'm 17 now.

That's not very important for the Wacken meeting, tho: I looooove the idea, but... but... I've got my exams in July, and I was planning to visit Argentina in the rest of the summer holiday!!  :bawl: I could wait till after the 5th of August, since most unis start classes in late September, early October... I don't know how my parents would react to this idea (even with me turning 18 until then)  ¬¬

Hey, welcome again, Shelley! :)

Hi folks,

I have been slowly turning into a real metalhead over the past few years. Actually it wasn't until this spring summer that I started to like the harder varieties, for instance pure death metal, so I could say I'm a newborn metalhead. :lol3:

Luth, you would really be missed if you didn't come, so please... We'll make sure that you survive the festival somehow.

Livi, Germany is on the way between Romania and Argentina, approximately. :lol3:

Shelley, welcome back, and it would be great to meet you at Wacken, too.

Cheers!

Markus

Wacken....mmmm :roll-eyes: who knows.
This year, after the Metalway´06 in Gernika, a friend and me had a conversation about Wacken 2007...
We spoke about renting a camper and go...but i don´t know what will happen...

I know!  ^_^ When I came here, and then left again for Argentina, and then came back (), the escale was always in Frankfurt.

Then jump out at Frankfurt, bang your head off for three days, fly on to South America ("Don't wait for me Argentina / I'm spending some daaayyys at Wacken") and tell your folks there was some delay at the airport due to new security restrictions.

Cheers!

Very nice idea and great time for me. Where exactly is Wacken and how could I arrive there?

good to have you back! :yeha:

I have no idea where exactly Wacken lies, but I'll find out some day soon.

Cheers!

Bah!  I'm too old for a multi-day festival!

I'm more the "hotel with a shower/bathroom bed & pillows" type!   hehe

I won't rule it out though!   :ninja:

Hey Mommy,

that would be... woould be... would be...

WOW!

If coming over here for Wacken really is an option for you and you don't want to stay all three days, perhaps something can be arranged... you could come for the Therion show, then a few of us could spend another day or so in Hamburg. Yes, this is a very early stage, but not ruling it out is a good start.

Cheers!
