Hi there,
when I see real spam - the stupid kind, not the NTSMS-High-Quality-Spam - I delete it. But admittedly I could hardly drop in the last week or so, that's why it was all left to poor Luth for that while. :(
But I'll keep my eyes open.

They seem drug dealers to me, searching brand new customers on our forum. But we drink :cheers: (only the persons older than 18) Even Aluqak wouldn't eat that stuff.

:blink: This morning I've deleted 4 spam posts from this (now banned) user: he spammed even the Chat section!!!
Can you re-send me this PM, if you haven't deleted it yet?
It seems spammers are growing in resistance and they're increasing their attack!

-Curse this damned spammer who posts thousands of crappy posts in the forum, and wish him the worst death in the universe after being tortured by my best agents. :ninja:

But seriously talking... I wish it won't happen again. Spam is ever something to hate, but "only" spam the forum with links and buying drugs requests is an innocent way to spam comparing with that. Our users have to feel save of this shitty crap in their inboxes. Not to mention someone can feel bad for it (I can only laugh, but there're below 18 here, and this is directly illegal). I don't know if I can do anything against it, but I promise I'll study if we can stop this happening again. Even if l have to set harder restrictions to new members.

There is a lot of spammers recently... Including those selling drugs to get less weight, this is becoming a problem. Most of the spam is found in the Announcments section, I believe that only trusted members should have access to this. We should make something like asking a really hard question only a true metalhead could answer along with the confirmation e-mail, if that is possible.

I looked on the Spiritual Beggars' forum the other day and it was just thousands of pages of spam. Spam answered with spam, spam topics answered by spam bots. It was quite bizarre, a myriad of spam posts made up this cyber-spam wasteland with just this one lonely human observer.... :insane:

Is it just the females receiving those porn PM's? I also got the Colin Farrell one. Whoever sent those PM's is a pig... and probably proud of it. It's a shame someone is putting those pictures in the PM's. We live in a screwed up society thanks to people... I mean animals like that. They are sick and it's the only way they can get some attention. Hang the bastard by his photoshopped balls, I say!

I agree. The whole point is to have a section of the NTSMS that only a certain amount of people can see and participate in. If too many people are in it, there doesn't seem to be a point anymore. Some are in the inner circle, yet never post there. To me, if you want to be a part of a group, then they should be contributing to the group. I'm just being more careful about what I post.

have you noticed that the spammers usually besmirch the section "Announcements"? As if that section was made for advertising... I wonder where they would go if we didn't have such a section. Luckily we won't find out, because there are hardly any spammers left: The new registration policy (see "About NTSMS") seems to baffle their ugly work. Every now and then a spammer or two will cheat their way through our controls, but as soon as they start the spamming they get deleted as usually.

admittedly I found the text too long to read it all, especially because the spammers part is virtually illegible, being written all in capitals. But I do love the way the spambuster imitates the spammer's style, and I do love the passage that says "You're so incredibly stupid" in many, many funny ways. :roll:
