The way we keep ourselves cool in this everlasting summer here in this place is to be indoors. Almost all houses have airconditioning, but never go to the movies to refresh, it's too cold in there!

Seems that happens worldwide. Everytime I go to the cinema I have to take a sweater with me or I can't watch the movie in peace. It sux to be watching a movie and freezing your butt.

Yup, that happens here too. And not only in the cinemas but also in the buses :wacko: . I got a cold last summer after taking the bus to Montréal (3 hours) in shorts :brutale_smilies100:
You know, the funniest thing about that is I went to the movies on Thursday and forgot to wear a sweater (I was going to watch a movie with some friends, two girls, so I wanted to look good, so that probably slipped through my thoughts) we were all freezing, even them with their sweaters. I offered hugging to heat up, but no good. :(

The best way to survive in this hot weather seems to be to go to watch films in airconditioned cinemas :)
My choice: last Sunday we went to a lake and spent the day in the water, and we kept our heads wet. At home too, when I'm dying because of the temperature, I put water on my head. Too bad that in my workplace I meet a lot of people every day and I can't look like this: :insane:

it was long ago when I noticed that the sun would rise too high in the Northern skies, that there would be unbearable scorching heat eventually. So I called upon Apep. :pop: I called upon Fenrir. :pop: I called upon Rahu. :pop: And lo and behold! since last Wednesday the sun has been moving southwards again. It will take a month or two until the effects are felt, but trust me - darkness shall return.
Until then keep drinking lots of water and eat enough salt.

As I said, I never went to a nudist beach, but there are some here, and if I was offered to go, maybe I would go (depending on who would go with me).
In Spain, and more concretly, in Barcelona, it's VERY usual to make "top-less" (only lower part of the bikini) on the beach, and I've heard it's not an american use. Is it true? I don't make top-less (sorry to disappoint you guys <_< ), but maybe half of women here does :P

Hey deathy. Sorry to hear it's so hot for you over there. When it's very hot here, I basically do what others have mentioned... movies, malls, the beach. Also, since my car has air-conditioning, I can always take a ride to get cooled off. In my home I have 2 small air-conditioners... one for upstairs and one for down. But the way the price of electricity skyrocketed lately, I didn't even bother setting them in the windows. I'd rather deal with the humidity and heat then pay those high bills.

I absolutely love banana milk shakes. If you add some tiny drops of vanilla and put at the end some cinnamon dust it will be the best taste ever! *hungry*
Another way to also cool off is just by eating plain ice, and also good if youd don't like drinking water ^_^
