according to my dictionary that means "belonging or referring to an elite". Thus, the Elitist Syndicate is an (almost criminal) union of malevolent individuals who try to restrict the knowledge about Therion, their music and lyrics to a small, paying group of members. In secret, they pursue plans to usurp world domination.

In contrast to that, NTSMS ia an (almost criminal) union of malevolent individuals who try to restrict sanity in the world to a minimum while making everybody listen to Therion and explaining the lyrics to everybody, whether people want to hear that or not. In secret, they pursue plans to usurp world domination.
