In other words welcome to everybody... No comandante, you're not the first Russian here, I'm half-Russian for how very amazing it sounds like, and I do speak Russian.

Well, I half understand that:

"Pribiet" (hello, or similar), "ti" (something like "you" in any case) and "Polonii": I guess it's something related to Polonia :P

Hi Aluqak,

I used to. I learned Russian at school and was quite good at it, but since I had no use for that language I forgot a great part. That's a pity, because I find Russian a beautiful language and like the sound of it a lot.

However, I still remember enough to understand a few things. Perhaps I should revive my capabilities someday soon.

Cheers!

Great minds thinks alike, Aluqak! I was stunned when I read Markus' translation

I'm half Romanian and half Argentinian. That's weird enough, but what about Russian - Ecuadorian?! At least, I know my parent had an easy way to meet: Jews in Israel, but your, One?

Hi Agnes,

ah, nevermind. You'll never be our English killer #1, anyway, so you may as well keep posting. It can only improve your English (which isn't bad at all, by the way!).

Cheers!

:) :) :) thx :P I know it's the best way to improve my English..but it's difficult..
On Friday I got 4 on English Lesson (I was answering my teacher's questions) so my English isn't so bad in my group of advance :] other students in my group are getting 1,2,3 sometimes 4
so I'm happy :)

BTW. tomorrow to school again! :( but my lessons begin at 9.50 :) so I can sleep (my hobby after music and sport :D)

Hi Agnes,

congrats on the good mark! (A 4 is good in your place, isn't it? It's reason for utter despair in Germany, but it seems that in your school system higher marks are better...)

We can't ask Sirius - he's British and would tell you your English was sooo great from sheer politeness, but to my grumpy self your English looks quite good indeed. :)

So post like hell!

Cheers!

Markus

thx again :D
in Germany the best note is 1, yes? In Poland it's inversely (the best-6)
so I got today 2 (history - Ancient Rome...ble..I don't like history so much) but today we were watching film about crusades.

Don't offtopic. I came there to say "hello" and I did it :)
now, go to the other topic ;)

In Romania, the marking sys is very similar to Polish one: lowest mark, 1 (usually given to the cheaters :D) and highest, 10, but in Argentina, my sisters asisted a high-school where the top mark was 5!

Edit: Don't worry about going off-topic, Agnes. It happens all the time around here!  :nanana:

hehehe :D you have 10 marks? wow! 1-usually given to the cheaters or to unprepared to the lesson,student.. :P

Post by: The One on May 16, 2006, 12:23:02 am
Here the highest mark is 20. But in the American system, which my school uses, the highest is 100. (Of course I get around 80's-100's)

Croatia - from 1 to 5. 2 is enough. 1 means you failed.

Btw welcome Agnus, nice wormy picture. I play Worms Armageddon or World Party sometimes.

One: 20?! Whoa! That's a lot, teachers have where to pick from  And I suppose "100" refers to points, and not marks, right?  I usually get good marks; last term I had 9.23 global mean
