Title: Sorrows of the Elf
Post by: Markus on February 28, 2006, 07:21:16 pm
Hi there,

as our elf doesn't dare, I must open this thread. ;)

Come on, the shoutbox is simply not the place for that; we need a little more space. If mIRC doesn't work on your system, why don't you use another IRC client? I bet Virus will help you installing one. If you have Java installed, you can use jIRC, for instance.

Cheers!

Markus

This topic is very welcome, since (as you all know) we Elves can die from sorrow hearts

My problem is: I don't know why the TS thingy is taking so long (7 weeks by now), and I cannot discuss properly this matter with Seph, since
mIRC won't work  :bawling:  I think Virus is right, something must be bloking it.  :bawling:

I feel much better now  :iconmi77kl:

Namarie!

Sephren has msn adress in his profile I asume. So try contacting him that way.

I checked on that too. He doesn't. He has an e-mail address in his profile, but not a MSN one.

Hi Elizabeth,

you ought to get that firewall configured and talk to Seph on the chat or PM him in the official forum. But I'm afraid he'll only be able to tell you the same again: That Toth can't be reached electronically right now.

You can also send them another snail-mail-letter, explaining your problem and asking to add you soon.

Cheers!

Markus

I tried confuring the firewall by myself, but seems I'm useless at it

Anyway, if Toth cannot be contacted, I'll just have to wait, because Seph cannot make miracles happen :P

Thanks anyway!

Namarie!

Hey there,

force the Virus to configure it, anyway. Chatting is fun. :)

And yes, Seph can't make miracles happen, even though it might be useful to keep him aware of the problem - he might be able to remind Toth. But the best way should be to send another snail-mail-letter to the ES headquarters.

Cheers!

I know chatting is fun! :bawling:

OK, I'll keep in touch with Seph (hope Virus will drop in today and make the damn mIRC work).

It doesn't have to be mIRC, any IRC client will do. :)

I'm already used to that one, and I suppose any IRC client I'd try (for the moment), it won't work until somebody helps me

No!
If you want T-Shirt you have to BUY it.
(not sure is there any left)
You get a letter and signed band picture.

Just kidding, DD! I know I don't get anything. I'm just waiting for my b-day to come, so I can pay the DVD and a shirt.

Fact is, I didn't get anything. Not even a letter. Or a tiny little piece of paper. Nada.

You will receive the letter with your password and a picture signed by them. It didn't last long time for me, but as things are going now, maybe you have to be a bit patient this time

Yup, there will be a welcome letter with a signed band pic. That may take a while, however.

I guess most important for you is having access to the ES web pages, eh?

why should you feel ashamed to post? Go ahead and do it! That's what the ES forum is there for. Believe, the users and mods will be happy about any activity (unless it involves cookies.)

Not as far as I know, Liv.

If you want to introduce yourself, start a "Hello"-thread under "General chit-chat". Or - this is what I would do - just start posting when you can add something to an ongoing discussion or when you have a question.

Cheers!

Eli ...you have problems with the irc ?
I dont  think its from firewall . You gotta have priority from the administrator who haves the server for some ports.
Or try deactivating the firewall and then try to connect to irc
most of all irc server ports are 6667-6669 i think so :D

sorrfy for the offtopic :(

Cheers :D

I'm sorry Aluqak, but this specific moron is a Biology teacher! She gave us some nano-marks, and during one of the test-papers, said I was disturbing the class because of wanting to ask something! Moron to the cube  ¬¬

You know Livi, at school, my biology teachers used to suck A LOT! Most of them were morons to the cube too. Why did I decided to become a biologist after that? ... ... well, you know, passion is stronger that teachers' stupidity.
So, given the fact that I am no (and hopefully never will be) a biology school teacher, I can only say two things: 1. No problem there. 2. Keep "distubing" your class until you get the answers you want

I revive.

My exams session is starting tomorrow, with the oral Romanian exam, but I'll sustain it on Tuesday, since I have the luck of being named Weiss  :P
As I said before, I'm really trembling in my pants only because of maths, 'cause I don't know if I can even scratch a pass mark in that one  :bye: It's really really hard, and I don't get along very well with the subject.
The others shouldn't be a big problem: oral English, written Romanian, Biology (genetics + human anatomy) and Spanish.

C'mon Livi! Let's party! :drunk:
And hey, it's normal for kids to flunk every once in a while. :ninja:

Well, it was very weird... more than learning, they didn't cheat  I didn't cheat, and I passed, some of them cheated, but didn't copy the right stuff so they failed anyway ... And some of them simply were out of inspirement when they picked their options. I got a 9.35 in Anatomy, but we had looooads to learn; some thought they could handle it, but they didn't. On the other side, I passed maths with 5  (which, btw, was the only mark I wanted; didnt have any pretention on maths at all  :insane:).

Hahahaha! I checked out the uni's site earlier, and I had a shock: the interviewer (which I taught to say hi in Spanish and stuff) was the dean  I'm glad to know it's not a stiff guy, tho  :wOOt:

Selective reading - saw the name of the topic as 'Showering of the Elf'.

Then again, that might just be my hormones kicking in.
