Hey everyone!
I opened this topic to discuss, recommend, or whatever that is related with TV series that we watch.
I enjoy watching Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy.
Recently, I have heard so many good comments about HBO's Game of Thrones that I decided to watch. I was captivated from episode 1! Watched season 1 in 2 days and the one just began. I luv it!
Anyways, I am open to suggestions right now since I have a lot of free time.
Anyone else can recommend any other good series? Your suggestions will be appreciated :)

I'm actually watching GoT season 2 also. Cant wait until Sunday! Used to watch LOST back in the day... You should give it a try if didnt see it.

Terra Nova (but Fox killed the show so there is only one season)

Yes, the majority of these series I download but... with Games of Thrones, after downloading all the episodes, I finally managed to buy the blu-ray. I wanted to watch these series with full quality! :nana:

Good news: HBO has confirmed that GoT will have a 3rd season. Apparently based on the first half of the third book. :yeha:

Yup, I read it in Facebook. If audience don't fail, we'll have at least 7 or 8 seasons (7 books... one of them produces two movies...)

Well, first of all I do not get why it should not have a 3rd season? It is a very successful show as far as I can see everyone being so high abou it... Or those nuts wanted to cancel another successful show like they did with Terra Nova?

Speaking of GoT....
I was reading about when season 1 and season 2 began.
Season one: Began April 17, 2011 and concluded on June 19, 2011
Season two: Began 1 April 2012....
This means that for a third season, we would have to wait another 10 months :afaid:

Currently watching: Person of interest, Grimm, Supernatural, Fringe.
Game of thrones is actually just porn.. really too bad, I used to love the books, so much magic and such a mystery to be discovered. In books after reading it for 5 - 6 hours not even one sex scene happenes, and even when it does it is described far less explicit than it is shown here. In one episode you get at least one rape, whores and more whores... Now we can see how many people are hypocrite, they wouldn't watch porn, but they would watch it if it was wrapped up like it is here. I had very high hopes for this show, too bad the emphasis here is on sexual arousal and not on a fantasy story the Game of Thrones truly is.

Honestly speaking, I know neither the original nor the series. But I see how disappointing this must be for you.

I don't mind the porn XD!
Although sometimes I think, is it really necessary? but it doesn't bother me.
The show still has a lot of intrigues and plots going on. Markus, try it, I think you might like it.

I wouldn't mind the porn if there really were that much in the original story.. it lacks the grandeur I imagined when I was reading the books.I guess I had a different and way better imagination. In general I like to watch tv shows when I watch tv shows, and porn when I watch porn. I prefer not to mix it in the same thing. It is worth trying thou, if one is interested in a fantasy world.

I still haven't seen the last 2 episodes of GoT and the last 3 eps of Once Upon a Time :)
I guess the book I bought when Kerstin was here (the first book) I will let untouched until the hospital stay. Long time alone there - will need something to concentrate my mind on.

I've been watching Metalocalypse... Recently they started season 4, but being in Kuwait... Well, I'm re-watching previous seasons. :biggrin:

I've seen the latest episode (9 out of 10 this season). And all I can say is: WOOOW! They get better and better each episode! :blink:

I have only read first book, and after I watched the second season. When the second season is over (in a week :bawl:) I don't think I'll be able to avoid reading the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth books (not more, as no more are written yet :cht: ).
This one is a different episode... it has something that happens for first time in the show. But it's good. Very good. :med2:

I wish to read all the books. Now I am going to read the second one "A Clash of Kings" but the first part of third book "A Storm of Swords" was sold out in the shop, I hope the idiots will order it soon. :(
For the first one - I have it but I do not feel like reading it right now when it's so short after I saw what's going on there. So I will read it later or with the other books.
Reading it in English btw. Not all translated to my language and also sold out - and - I really enjoy reading in English if I am able to understand. :)

I have them all in English too :wOOt: I'm trying to read in English if the book is written in English, and in Spanish or Catalan if they're in any other language (let's say... with Haruki Murakami or Jonas Jonasson I won't give a try to their native language, I'm sorry :evil2:).

It's different because all action happens at only one place. It's first time in the series that action does not happens to several places, to several characters :nana:

Landing is the least I care for - ok, I got 2 fav characters there but all the other favs are spread in other places :)

I'm watching right now the new Die Hard 5 movie, "A good day to die hard", in a literally live version. They are shooting it right under our windows. All people who live here are hanging out of their windows. :D

At first I didn't recognise the movie, because in Spain the translation of the title was quite different. Now I've seen what movie it is... WOOOW! They're really shooting it under your windows? Is there Bruce Willis? Can you get a special guest appearace of your youngest member at your family? :roll:

Oh yes. Lately we can't go out without stumbling into the shooting somewhere, Bruce is our personal acquaintance for now, and he's invited for dinner next Thursday. :D
But really, they seem to have borrowed all the city. :lol:

Ok, not watching now, but watched yesterday night: a "marathon" of three musical movies. The event started at 21 p.m. and ended at 02.30. First movie: "The Wall" (a loooong Pink Floyd videoclip. I liked a lot); second "The Phantom of Paradise"... Good, but I slept the second half. And the last one, the great, terrible, fantastic, the best! THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! For those who doesn't know it, an old movie (1975) with a young Susan Sarandon and his finacée geting into a castle in order to get help for their broken car... Only that the castle is ruled by a crazy transvestite who has just turned into a life his sexual fantasties, Rocky, an all-muscles no-brain guy. The fun is that people in the venue arrives in Rocky's costumes, and shout certain things during the movie, and even throws things (like water when it's raining, a toast when the character asks for a toast, or makes noise when the characters make noise, or dance "The Time Warp" dance...).
It has been the funniest, craziest movie I've watched in a cinema :insane: :insane: :insane: :yeha: :yeha: :yeha:

You've forgot to mention that the crazy transvestite is an extraterrestrial! Oh, and we used to throw rice for the wedding scene and toilet paper when Rocky is unwrapped. :lol3:

Oh, so, you're not "a vigin". In fact, a guy asked around, just before the movie "any virgin here?". Of course, who answered yes, had a nice word written with lipstick in the front. I said nothing (who dares to say "yes"??), but I'm not sure if I was or not... I had not seen the movie in the cinema yet, but I had seen the movie several times at home, and I even went to the theater in London to watch "The Rocky Horror Show". I think I was not "a virgin"... was I? :ninja:
