Hello everyone!
I'm new here so I had been reading the existed posts to get familiar with this forum:)
the self-introduce:
A student From China, new fan of Therion
Before I getting know of Therion, I began to learn Swedish by myself out of the love to Swedish Music :lol:
(Well, I knew there were not so many swedish words in Therion's lyrics :biggrin:)
You know that in fact Therion has not release any albums in the mainland of China, but the exchange between music lovers always make their ways :whistle:
The first time I heard Therion's song is in a music festival in my university in June. One band played the son of the sun and an arrow from the sun. I thought I was shocked directly. They did a good job and I was eagar to know who made such music?
After that music festival I searched these songs and things about Therion. And after watching some vedio and some parts of live on YouTube, I brought Live Gothic through agency. These DVD and CDs undergoed a soooooooooooo long journey to arrive at my hand. And I kept watching the DVD again and again that I knew there must be madness. :lol:
These are all old songs and old albums, but these are all new experience to me.
I wish someday Nuclear Blast will consider more in Asia market, although there is not so many people there know about Symphonic Metal :cht2:
Or maybe one day I will go to Europe to watch their live :wOOt:
So, glad to know Therion from an far away country, and glad to join there to share love and feelings :wub:

Oh, and I have to say that your English is very good!
Now, that's a great way to discover Therion, hearing a cover of one of their songs live. :thumbup: Forgive me, please, when it makes me smile to read that you consider the songs from " Live Gothic" as old. To me, old Therion is the stuff before Theli... :lol3:

Yay! It's fantastic! It migh have been difficult for you to discover Therion, but once you did... as it has been said above, there's no turning back!b :insane:
I'm curious about the band that made a cover of "Sun of the sun" and "An arrow from the sun"... I never heard a cover of a Therion song, more the other way. What's its name? Is it possible to find anywhere on the net their music? :wOOt:
And about your English... well, my beginnings were A LOT worse. Therion made the change, believe me!!

In fact I don't know if mainland of China is a accustomed use in English, so I think to say I'm in Shanghai is just fine :wink2:
Maybe the way I use the word of old made some confusion……I just want to define the songs before the latest album :P
Therion's live is amazing, and their music really gave grand scene, both in lyrics, molody, instrument, and the way they organizationing these elements into music
In order to feeling more, I am considering to update my stereo equipment seriously :thumbup:

For the question, that band is made up by schoolmates. Our music festival is always held by students, inviting some local bands, some famous part-time bands and excellent student bands. They play their original music and whatever they like, it's good opportunity to find new music what didn't know before and music talents nearby :thumbup:
I always get surprises and Therion's songs is the biggest one by now. :wink2:
I did eat two oranges after seeing that cookies and feel hungry……oh it's 2:55 am in the GMT+8!

Monade is a Italian word which was brought up by Giordano Bruno in De monade, numero et figura liber (1591; “On the Monad, Number, and Figure”)
He thought monade is the smallest unit constitutes everything, which is the unity of material and spiritual, and has inherent creativity.
I think there must be many other explainations and meanings of monade, and I also like Leibniz's, but all in all I like Bruno's most :wink2:

I born in Zhejiang Province and live there, and in recent 6 years I stayed in Shanghai for most of time because I study here. :roll-eyes:

I realized that I forgot to tell my real name :-X
My real name in Chinese character is written as 心悦, pronounced as Xinyue, which means feeling happy from bottom of heart ;)
So you can call me Xinyue, or Monade is just fine :P
The favourite song is hard to decide. Therion's albums are always conceptual albums that I rarely listen to one of them separately ;)
I am a new fan and still collecting their albums :lol:
But I could tell you I put the Son of the Sun as my alarm clock music and the Deggial as bell ring :thumbup:
And on my way to classroom I listen to the Secret of the Runes whole album all the way this week. :wink2:
I major in Statistics now. It seem that only in Asia that Statistics is a undergraduate program :P My coursse focus on data analysis, which sounds a little boring and indeed boring :wacko:
I also like reading and writing :)

Shanghai is a much bigger city than my hometown, which is indeed a town :) I still lost my way sometimes :med2:
I think I will stay in Shanghai for work after I graduate. Maybe we will meet someday :thumbup:

You made me remember the moment when I turned Therionized and it felt really great. It is like an indiana jones adventured when you start to listen to all the albums, and you realize that in fact this is a music for mad coocoo people.
And in this forum is gathered the most selective refined people who will help you and support yourself to dessintegrate your sanity and reason and will open for you the gates of madness. Enjoy!

Wow a girl from China! :D Since Therion won't go to China, they might but it's highly unlikely as Chris said, you'll have to come to Europe on next Therion tour. Let's hope that NTSMS gathering gets bigger each time :D
