Hi folks!!
Last friday me and my friends had a chat about Therion, the new members, new album
and the forthcoming tour, and we noticed that we know NOTHING; and as they know
that I have "direct line" to Thomas V through his website, they told me to ask him
about these matters.
This is the answer:
"Well...the album are in full recording progress.We recorded some part in the
legendary POLAR STUDIO where bands like ABBBA, Led Zeppelin and Scorpions and
many more have been recording.We will record the Orchestra and choir in probably
Slovakia or Czech republic.
It will soon be clips from the studio here and on youtube. In my opinion the
album is going to be a killer!!! We decided the title for it. But I can not
reveal that yet! The vibe in the band is very very good and everybody is so
happy and so hungry.We cant wait to go out on tour again and to meet all of
you! The new members are on Drums Johan Koleberg, On bass Nalle "Grizzly" Pahlson
and there is also a new leadguitarplayer that I cant reveal yet either. But I
can assure you that he or she will not disappoint you! Thomas Karlsson wrote the
fantastic lyrics like he always do. Me, Snowy Shaw and Lori Lewis is going to
sing our brains out this time. Probably some guests will appear also. (...)

I thing that is the quality/price...a "shitty poppy" band called La Oreja de Van Gogh just recorded an album with a Bratislavan orchestra, and i remember that an orchestra from Prague recorded the score of a famous spanish film not too many years ago; they said it was cheaper.

It was about time!
Can't wait to hear. I'm glad they're going to record with the Lemuria/Sirius orchestra again, they made a very good job in these albums. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Thomas say that the first letter of the new album is actually 'S'?

It is a pleasure to hear Therion is recording where great bands such as Scorpions and Zeppelin did. This is really a good feeeeeeling.

Hey! Thanks for sharing the news! :) I am waiting patiently for the next CD :) I kinda hope it will sound like older albums, let's say Vovin or Deggial. At the same time I know this is an empty hope since Therion never do the same thing twice, so I'm looking forward to hear what have they created this time :)

We know the vocalists from earlier tours... in fact I'm glad that Lori is in once more, and I was secretly hoping that Snowy would sing on a studio album, too. Regarding the sound I suppose that Therion is about to be reinvented once more.
Another hope is that Kali Yuga pt. III will be on this one...

Well, finally some news... and they sound good. Let's see what the re-re-re-re-re-re-invention of Therion bring us this time. :wacko:

"Hello everyone!
It has been a long time since you have heard anything new from Therion now, so I thought I should give a few updates.
As you may or may not know, Therion is in progress of recording a new album. As usual, Therion is being very secretive about the entire process, but I will reveal some details:
A new studio has been built for most of the recording of this album. The mix, and a few recordings, will be done at another studio - "A truly legendary studio!" according to Chris. Expect something spectacular, even by Therion's standards!
The recording will continue for the rest of the year, and probably also through January.
Also, a new website is still in the making. We are hacking away using the Symfony Framework. If you want to contribute, drop me a line. It is quite fun and easy."

I´m wondering what will be the theme of the lyrics. Do you think it would has any long song like Adulruna and via?

Well, well, it's nice to hear our favorite musicians are finally reporting on work.
As for long songs, they better put a 10 minute + epic in this album!
