I've been struggling against depression during many months... That's what made me separate from everything and everyone and spend time on my own... But now I hope to appear more frequently here  :cht:

Oh dear,

a depression is quite a serious illness! I'm glad to hear that you're getting better and I hope to see you around more often again. :)

Myself, I feel very blood-donorish: With my latest donation, which I gave yesterday, I have donated a whole 10 liters of blood in summa. Enough to fill a big bucket. :lol3:

I'm so afraid of blood that I hardly can stand having blood-tests done (. So it seems to me that being a donor is more than a deed!

To me it's pretty easy. I find the process amusing and it always counts as my good deed of the day. :)

In fact, I'm not... I've been sick enough and taking medicine since the age of 15, so I can, at least, defend myself if I'm asked why not ). But, to be honest, I'm not sure I would be able to do it even if I was healthy...
However, I'm trying to be somehow useful by helping an animal shelter  :hop:

Aww, don't try to be useful - be helpful or generous. Working in an animal shelter surely is helpful; that's a good deed really. And of course there are some people who really cannot donate blood. That's not even required.Just let them donate who can!

What exactly do you do in the animal shelter, if I may ask?

It's a private shelter organized by a young family in their country house. They have dogs and cats there.
When I'm in the countryside, I bring food and sometimes take pets to a vet. While I'm in Moscow, I transfer them some money (no doubt it will go to animals!) and post ads online to find owners for kittens and puppies <3.
(My own cat wouldn't like it, of course, but thankfully he doesn't know. He's very selfish :-D)
