Aqueduct ;)

Your home looks... hot. Really, really hot. Or at least sunny, which, for me, is the equivalent of hot. Me and the sun... we aren't on good terms. I'm metal to the core as far as my skin tone is concerned. And the mad gleam in my eye. Can't forget the mad gleam in my eye.

Roughly the town square (or, at least, a part of it): http://www.kr-zag-zupanija.hr/images/fotogalerija/Krapina.jpg (http://www.kr-zag-zupanija.hr/images/fotogalerija/Krapina.jpg)

My good neighbor: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/2e/Neanderthal_2D.jpg/180px-Neanderthal_2D.jpg (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/2e/Neanderthal_2D.jpg/180px-Neanderthal_2D.jpg)

A not so nice panoramic view of my quaint little... hamlet: http://www.dvorci.hr/slike/Clanci/KrapinskoZagorska03Krapina.jpg (http://www.dvorci.hr/slike/Clanci/KrapinskoZagorska03Krapina.jpg)
Unless I'm very much mistaken, the graveyard's located somewhere behind the camera. Or in front. Heheh. Loads of fun there.

Okay, the graveyard is definitely behind the camera on this one: http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/kr_panorama_zima.jpg (http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/kr_panorama_zima.jpg)

A convent near my home - I'm somewhere to the right, past the forest and, well, before another forest (kinda... surrounded): http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/crkva_sv_kat.jpg (http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/crkva_sv_kat.jpg)

Remnants of a keep of sorts (the so called 'Old City'... although it's not really a City. It's a glorified condo): http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/stari_grad.jpg (http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/stari_grad.jpg)

My first door neighbors make lunch.... and I'm not invited: http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/kr_obitelj.jpg (http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/kr_obitelj.jpg)

My first door neighbor and his best bud prepare to rock: http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/homo.jpg (http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/homo.jpg)
(okay, I tried, I really tried, but the redundant rock jokes are just... stronger than... me... must... resist... urge... keep on rockin' in the free world!

...

D'OH!)

Panoramic view (yes, planned building is a taboo of sorts here): http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/krapina.jpg (http://www.krapina.hr/images/foto_gal/krapina.jpg)

Too bad I can't show you the ruined ol' villa in my street, a few houses down (or up?) the street. Great place for gloomy goths, melancholic metalheads and hungry hippos. It's basically your typical haunted mansion near a lake in the forest.

...

Damn, how can I sleep at night?

*sigh*

And then I'm not supposed to wear black all the time. Yeah, as if.

As you know, I was in the mountains this week.
I was accomodated in small family hotel near Rokytnice nad Jizerou. Map:

Arrived on Saturday in the evening. As soon as I was in the hotel a big storm had come and it was raining whole evening. But no matter, I was walking in neighbourhood of the hotel.
Sunday was also cold overcast day. Decided to do a little daylong trip.
Was walking  higher and higher above sea level and the „frost mist“ growth and everything came to be mysterious.  But finally I could breathe fresh air, not like in the city full of pollution.

When I was leaving I decided to sent some postcards to my friends. One of them to Budapest to Lucy and one of them to Loke (I hope this one will be delivered soon because of the god damn Mexican address which a don’t understand! :) ) I thought about You Vlad a lot! Wish You was there too – I’m sure You liked the mountains! I wanted to send You a postcard too but unfortunatelly I didn’t have Your address. I am so sorry about that :(

Wow, that's nice!
Writes Zagreb into list of places, which wants to visit...

And You have the same type of trams in Zagreb like we in Prague!  :wOOt:

I was in Prague
Beautiful city... My best excursion ever...
I got lost once
I went with night-line tram in wrong direction.

Those trams you see will soon be in history.
Now we have 50% new trams and number is rising every month till it hits 100%
Modern trams with low floor. (floor is in level of street's sidewalks)
It is 100% engendered by Croatian engenears

deathdancer: Not only strangers get lost in Prague, but even my schoolmates and people living here for years.  ;D

We also have "new" trams. But here are still used the old ones. There are a lot of different types of trams on the lanes. The real newest trams are made by Porsche (http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/5109/winporscheew1.gif) and Skoda. Most of the old trams are rebuilt to have a low floor.

and the "new" (in fact they are about 5- 7 years old, but people still call them "new") ones are these:

Now this is difficult. I had to decide between Bucharest (which is the place I've been living in for the past 8 years) and Buenos Aires (the place that I still call "home" in my Elvish tiny heart). But then again... here you have Bucharest. LMs, soon check the Inner Circle for Buenos Aires.

Palace of Parliament (known as the House of People during the communist era). Pic here (http://icdpm.3x.ro/amicitia/pictures/bucharest/palatul-parlamentului-01.jpg) and more info (worth reading, really!) here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_the_Parliament).

Magheru Blvd (central Bucharest), winter season, pic here (http://www.infotravelromania.ro/foto/bucuresti/eduard_despinoiu2006/Bulevardul_Magheru.jpg) and here (http://www.infotravelromania.ro/foto/bucuresti/eduard_despinoiu2006/Centrul%20_Bucurestiului.jpg). You can see a cross monument to the "Heroes of the Revolution" in the 2nd pic.

Unirii Square. You can see the Palace of Parliament in the distance. Pic here (http://www.mormonii.ro/html/1/09/piata_unirii.jpg). Aereal here (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.vterrain.org/Locations/ro/zep_aerial/Piata%2520Unirii.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.vterrain.org/Locations/ro/zep_aerial.html&h=960&w=1280&sz=347&hl=en&start=5&um=1&tbnid=KpaNYuxiQwsLnM:&tbnh=113&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpiata%2Bunirii%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dopera%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DN). Oh, and in the same zone, you have this (http://thekonst.net/data/pictures/077/014.jpg) one, a little to the left over that street is my place! You can come over, if you wish

The CEC Palace. Pic here (http://www.geocities.com/nttchris/Pics/Bucharest-CEC-Palace.jpg).

If you liked Bucharest so far, let me know and I'll find more stuff  ^_^

Wow Elizabeth! I really didn't have any idea about Bucharest. Now, I can see, it's such a beautiful city.

Don't know why but the some pics makes me remind Paris a bit. And sometimes Prague  :D
So maybe I should feel there like I am at home.

When I was watching some pics at wiki article about Palace of Parliament, I have liked the great lustre which reminds me Czech rondocubism.

Bucuresti seems like a very spirited city (:
