Luth, are you talking about life (as opposed to death) or live (as opposed to coming from a record)?
Anyway, I do agree that The Siren of the Woods needs to be added to the list. Firstly it's a wonderful ballad, and secondly it became quite a legend because the lyrics were unknown to the public for many years.Very true, Markus. You've expressed my own thoughts, actually!
Even though a part of me doesn't like it The Siren Of The Woods is a MUST.I've never listened to Siren Of the Woods. (I don't have Theli, though the songs that I've listened to of it are some of my favorites) After listening to my 5-hour collection of Therion mp3s, I think another pair of must-hears are The Blood of Kingu and An Arrow from the Sun.
On the other hand, a song I really did enjoy was Flesh Of The Gods, another MUST in the list more suitable for a concert.
oh, and In the desert of Set --> my favourite song! I don't know why :]How could I forget another of my personla favorites? In the Desert of Set definately is a classic, with a live video.
Real fan must know ALL the songs from all albums.Ten seconds? Bah! If you're a real fan, you'll know the name of the song before it even starts playing.
But A REAL TRUE AND SINCERE fan must be able to recognize all songs in max 10 seconds =P(it means that if you hear first 10 second you should be able to say what song it is and from what album it is)

If I wanted to give someone a crash-course in symphonic surgery, I'd give 'em this for starters:
Lemuria - This would get them in the mood. I'd tell 'em to picture an underwater haven, a safe place where nothing can harm them...
To Mega Therion - ....except the forces of darkness. Oh, well.
In Remembrance - Do not know why nobody here ever mentions this song.
Flesh of the Gods - If they're a Hansi-fan, this is the first song I'd throw at 'em.
Call of Dagon - If they're a Lovecraft-fan, this is the first song I'd throw at 'em.
Blood of Kingu - 'Cause it's just fun.
Son of the Staves of Time - 'Cause it's Tydhr.
If that wouldn't give 'em a triple orgasm and make them life-long Therion fans, I'd just shoot 'em and throw 'em to the dogs.
I'd keep their livers, though. Could fetch a good price.
Actually one of my fav albums is still SM:HDHM...
Siren of Woods - Akkadian lyrics! and it's close to my studies and the epic story which it contains!
I see, Ignacio. Well, my opinion of these songs is very similar to yours. I'm just not so sure that they are songs everybody should listen to, I think they're mainly for folks who are into Therion already. :)
