Hey folks,

we had some wonderful winter weather for a while before it got mild again. Now there are a few cooler days again, with temperatures just around the freezing point, but warmer weather is coming up.

Ask my Deutschlehrerin... she went home (Germany) to be with her Deutsch family those holidays, and she got 12 days of 24 Uhr rain. Sie didn't get any sun until coming back to Barcelona

On the 3rd November you will get a partial solar eclipse, albeit just a very small one. Really just a tiny bite. But still, a solar eclipse!

It's not possible... I've just read that post, and learnt about the 3rd of November... Then I changed to Facebook and seen a photo by a weather programme at our local TV. Those are the astronomical important things that will happen on 2013

We had kind of spring in last weeks... :-/ Now proper winter what I find rather exhausting. I need the winter to relax like animals do.

Now it's rainy in last days and today it got a bit colder again. So it is that kind of freezing rain (cannot recall the English expression for it).

It's still there!

Today the clouds broke up, showed a little of the blue skies beyond and even let a few sun-rays pass through.

That's a weird image to illustrate the upcoming events, Luth.

That's Venus - but you'll never see it like that from Earth, or with human eyes for that matter. They could have chosen a better one easily, but what the hell! Most important is that they announce some events that people can see easily.

Hey folks,

some colder and drier air has arrived, and this morning was a winter morning as fine as it can be.

You know, the cuddly predator has slept at my place, and when we were having the first short walk in the early dawn it was clear and there were some stars visible. After dozing for another hour and having breakfast we took a long walk to the nearby gravel pits at the river.

OMCD! The sun was hanging low in cloudless skies. The snow on the way was glistening in all rainbow-colours. I was slightly frosty but the air was dry and calm, hence the cold wasn't unpleasant. Where the sun shone on my dark clothes it got warm. And then the lake! Deep blue, framed by yellowish-brown reed, bare trees and intensely red cornel. Just plain wonderful!

Hey folks,

still the winter is going on here.

The temperature is below zero all day long, there is snow lying outside - just plain lovely.

I'm very fond of this late winter time, especially when the weather is like this.
