What?!?!?! I AM AN ELF!!!!!. I am an elf who felt in love with Beren, a human, and because of that I lost my immortality.
I'm soooo disapointed you didn't remember I'm the first elf here :bawling:

Good! I got scared! I thought that they think that I am Elizabeth but you are Elizabeth so I can't be Elizabeth! :)
Ingvar is no other than Freyr. "In Ljusalfheim he's king of elves." :king:
(And Tolkien's elves are definitely derived from the Nordic alves, no doubt about that.)
Cheers!

Don't worry! Freyr Skirr rules over the pretty elves only. :P
. And I'm sure Tolkien's Elves resemble Nordic ones very much, but the English mythology also inspired him quite a lot...
Yeah, but where does English mythology have its roots?
Cheers!

I don't know what Tol Eressea is! Explain yourself girl!

Of course you don't! You weren't supposed to ;)
The story goes like this: Tol Eressea is a large island which the Valar Ulmo (Lord of the Waters) somehow uprooted and transformed into a floating island and then used as a ship. With this ship he transported the Vanyar and Noldor Elves (two kinds of Elves) from Middle Earth to the Undying Lands (where the rest of the Valars, say, Gods lived), and then returned to Middle Earth to transport the Teleri Elves as well.
But in the meanwhile, the Teleri "fell in love" with Sea, so a Maiar (an inferior kind of Valar), Osse (Master of the Waves), convinced Ulmo to re-anchor the island
into the Bay of Eldamar.
Tol Eressea means "Lonely Island".
This is the short version :D
