Kris and me have a passion for drawing mandalas, so we decided to create a topic about them. Maybe you would like to see some special ones, colourful and interesting ones.
When I was going to a drawing course, we painted a lot of pre-printed mandalas, filled them with colours. I do believe that the colours and forms we used are some kind of mirrors of the person who made them. It's interesting to look deep inside. :)
Here are the mandalas we made:
-
Some of them are really beautiful. :)
I wanted to buy some preprinted mandalas in shop but it was very epensive  So I decided to make some free ones from the beginning.
-
That's the best you can do, in my opinion. But on more lazy days you can find very nice patterns on the net and simply print them. :)
-
Oh, that's very good. Thank You :)
-
Thank you, Lucy!
My favourites are the yellow-purple one (top row, fourth from left) which reminds me of a fractal or particle trails in the detector of a collider and numbers 3, 5 and 6 in the bottom row which look very dynamic to me. I'll add the top left one for its herbal look. :)
Cheers!
Markus

Here's yesterday's work (even though it has stuff around I still consider it as a mandala):

Setting Sun Mandala!
Fractals? That would also worth a topic.

These were the presents we made to each other in the end of the course:

They are so beautiful :) I like all of them. Which one is Yours?
-
Guess. It's signed.
I got the bottom right orange mandala on red paper.
-
That's very nice one :) I also like the one above - with the lady - dancing maybe.
-
I think that's a Mucha reproduction - I desperately wanted to get that one.
-
I thought so :) From here it looks like an advertisement he made for Moët and Chandon :)
-
Hmm it's not. Now there's a beetle in my head diggin what is that for painting :fish:
-
Maybe that's an image inspired by him. I couldn't find that either.
So, do you have a guess about which one I painted? Two options are already out, it's easier now.
-
I know! The one on white paper which is in a winged square looking like a Jainistic sun wheel! :)
-
Scored the first prize!
I was bored of always drawing round mandalas, so I made a rectangular, spinning one.
-
 That was pretty good idea. And I know about Your week point for cubical things :ninja: :lol3:
-
You do, do you? *I have to change!*
Goes immediately into spiral things
-

Fascinating works, myladies!
-
I like it too  good job girls :)

I have been thinking of making this as a mandala on my own (like copying the picture but in a round shape)
Since my mind is so much occupied by this picture I cannot even say how it is possible. But when I first saw the Toth tarot deck I liked it the most on first sight. In recent days it uses to appear on my mind during the day, when falling asleep and such. I think that it has to mean something. So I was thinking of drawing it so I might discover by that what... but if You have any helpful ideas, I would be glad. (I will paint it even though.)

Nice! :)
If you want it symmetrical, and mandala-like, you can draw four snakes in the four directions, and put this whole in a big circle. Is this what you meant?
-
Am I crazy? I did not put the pic inside the message...

-
No I am not... why it does not showed to me when I was checking the message - until I uploaded it into new one?
-
I couldn't see that either, but I quoted the post and I've found the link that worked. :)
-
so for the others...
-
Whoopsie, that's beautiful!

Really nice ones, indeed! Thank you! :)

Lovely, Kris, thank you! The first one is... very green :wink2: (a beautiful shade), the second looks almost fractal to me.
Cheers!
